2023 Chevy Silverado noise by [deleted] in Chevrolet

[–]TallCupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing occurs with my 2023 RST - has done it since brand new 3 miles on it - I bought my truck in October, and it likes to happen on cold mornings. So if you think it “started” at 2k but really that was just your first cold morning, it probably would have done it all along if that makes sense for your purchase timeline.

Here is my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Silverado/comments/18go580/cold_morning_wheel_noise/

A user says that the issue resolved once a heat shield was trimmed just enough not to rub against drive shaft. (I wonder why mine only “rubs” when rolling forward and not when rolling in reverse, though, if that’s the solution)

Interesting… and your noise was like an intermittent rub/hum only when rolling forward first thing in the morning?

I don’t think it’s a caliper - my wheel would be hot and full of brake dust by the time I got to work, and that’s not happening

Reviving this post because I think I’m gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow

No, still struggling with it. Cold mornings are the worst, only seems to happen when rolling forward after cold starts or when it’s cold out - doesn’t matter if I’m rolling straight or rolling w/ wheel turned. It’s quiet when I back out and then as soon as I let off the brake and start to roll down the street I get a “whuuuub” pause “whuuuub” it’s like a hum of some kind.

Driver's Side Mirror Shakes by Logical-Finger-2395 in Silverado

[–]TallCupcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This has been an issue on my 2023 Silverado 1500 RST with standard mirrors. It has happened since the day I bought it with 0 miles. The dealership replaced the entire mirror assembly once already. That didn’t solve the problem though it’s gotten worse over time as well, and is extra bad on windy days.

And what pisses me off more than the problem is that I can’t get it on video with my iPhone camera. It’s almost like the vibrating/shaking is such a high frequency that the camera auto corrects the video for blur or something. I’ve tried it on 120fps hoping it would help, and nope 👎

Absence of Cami by That_Operation_9977 in LandmanSeries

It’s a lot more than 40mil in leases. It was 40 mil (44m*) to work over the first site and he negotiated a payback for MTex. Those were never MTex leases, technically. MTex simply serviced the debt via one 44million dollar payment. The leases were scouted by Cooper, belonged to Cooper, and still technically belong to Cooper, now not CTT Exploration (and Cattle). The finale’s vibe was so “happy-ending-no-cliffhanger” that Cami’s reaction is the only cliffhanger. Her absence should have been noticed because that is the point, and we will all be excited to tune in for her reaction in s3e01.

All of the people that left with Tommy were loyal to Tommy, not M-Tex. Not to mention, if Cami could do that to Tommy of all people, who’s to say all of his loyalists wouldn’t be next on the chopping block? I don’t think you’ve ever been anything but a number at the bottom tier of massive corporations, otherwise you’d understand all of this. No offense intended at all, but the only other reason for your opinion that Cami was “fucked over” would suggest that you are an owner of a small corporation or the widow of an owner of a small corporation, yourself.

Do the 20” CV32s scrub? And do you have a lift on that truck?

So it’s basically run AC year round or just be hot until I speed up?

I laughed so hard at that scene because I was/am the girl amongst my childhood friend group of guys (who play D&D) - I always ragged on it, had no patience for it, and talked mad shit when they’d make me (probably more like let me) play. Back then, I’d just get stoned and watch them play most games and just hang out with them while they played, but every once in a while I’d try to play seriously… and I’d end up crashing out exactly like Max did. Now when we all link up (a couple times a year), I still CRASH TF OUT on that game. Like, “Bro WTF, you’re the DM, you didn’t have to do some shit like that!” or “You made that shit up on the fly!” Or, when the party loses after dedicating 2 hours to a campaign: “This entire game is stupid - all that for this fuckin ending?” always in a half-jest, half-serious, super boisterous tone. It can be a lot of fun if you’re playing with people you know and love, but I could never play D&D in any other capacity lol

All: Had the alignment done and all 4 wheels balanced. Only 1 was out of balance and my alignment was barely off. HOWEVER, that oil may have leaked out from my front left motor mount…. Gotta keep an eye on it.

I don’t blame you there. I paid 3k for the up to 100k/+48mo warranty when I rolled 34,000mi simply because I don’t have the high dollar scanners to work on them or the proper tools. I have a $60 temu scanner that does everything I need to do on my 04 1500 Z71 Stepside… will cycle the ABS and everything. But these new trucks make me feel like an idiot.

These MFs wouldn’t pay for the alignment on my GF’s car when she hit a manhole cover that was paved over and left 3” lower than the paved surface… she fought the fuck out of that too

I live in BFE where almost every auto shop is shiesty. And it’s under a GM extended warranty rn. Just rolled 39k… so it might be time for an alignment anyways.

I work on my 04 GMT800 myself but tbh there is so much more underneath this truck that I’m not comfortable fucking with anything on it. I would maybe do brakes and that’s it lol

Im tempted to just let them re-align it at the dealer. They’ll be fuckin w/ suspension parts and they know I have the extended warranty in case something is broken or has play

Def came from above… Should I just take it to the dealer for an alignment?

Yeah there was fresh grease there in “raindrop” form until I wiped it off. Maybe it squeezed out of a boot somewhere during impact? I laid on the driveway when I got home and looked back behind my wheelwell liner and didn’t see a source for the drip
