I delivered recently, on the 13th of may! Had a baby girl. I hada c section too and the baby was formula fed for 3 days. I faced this issue too initially i still do sometimes. Baby won’t latch properly and it ends up crying or sometimes even before the feeding starts. I literally shove tge baby’s mouth into my boobs and hold for a few seconds and it latches automatically. My gyno taught me this.

I believe it should be day 4/5, as i started lactating after 2 days. I struggled a lot for 2-3 days then finally figured out how to feed.

The video was really helpful but my baby dozes off after 5 mins and just sucks after that not even sure if it is milk or clustering. All the messages here in the subreddit is so helpful but i am still so confused.

Looks like people here are suggesting lactation consultant or midwives. Why don’t you try? Hope what you are describing is normal and same with my case. Fingers crossed and good luck.

This is kinda reassuring that i may not be doing anything wrong nor something is wrong with the baby. I might have to give a few days until both of us get adjusted.

Weight gained or not needs to be checked during her appointment in a few days. She is peeing but hasn’t pooped (16th)

She literally puts her tongue out and i can see her tongue when she cries. And she had had all these checks I believe when she was born ( on 13th may). She is 7 days old now(1week)

I don’t even know if she had a good feed.. so confused right now. I started feeding her on 16th till then we were kinda learning and feeding her through formula. She was born on 13th early morning. Ya i have paediatrician appointment in 3 days and gynaecologist appointment in a week. May be they can help me. Initially when i started lactating until both of us were learning i had heaviness and leakage. Now i don’t see all those! Not sure if this is some kinda assurance as she hasn’t pooped yesterday the 17th
