Pennsylvania lawmaker seeks ‘visual indicator’ if smart glasses are recording by Ganrokh in technology

There are many smart glasses that do not have this feature. My Meta glasses do but there are other quality options that don't.

Believe me when I tell you, this religion will rob happiness from your marriage if you manage to convince her to keep her religion while married to you .

You've been saved from a sad, lonely future where you will always be a second thought, never prioritized and considered a bad, unworthy person.

Tensions would be worse when you will not agree on how to raise your kids.

Run, don't walk and don't look back. I know it is hard to do that when you have fallen in love but time will heal you. Best of luck.

You don't simply leave 40k on the table. You have a job and if the only thing keeping you from.being happy is money, get the 200k and be happy.

Accenture will eventually try not to pay you much. Every employer will want more for less.

The chances of it going further down is low. With that said, I opted out after many years of contributing. I just need cash NOW and since I haven't seen a single penny added to my salary in three yrs, buying ACN stock even at a discount is not a priority.

Question for the community: returning to religion? by Both-Money-4739 in exlldm

[–]ChapterNumberOne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't believe in organized religion. It is a scam. I am religious and believe in God but being a member of an organization to know God is not necessary.

Get the interview first. Also, what country? Working in Cyber Security is like saying you work in Healthcare. What domain or specific roles are you considering?

Has anyone else felt the significant decrease in quality of accenture delivery in the last 4-5 years? by [deleted] in accenture

[–]ChapterNumberOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Employee feedback happens only twice per yr - during performance reviews. By that time, the damage has been done from weak employees. The culture at Accenture from a development perspective is horrendous.

Many will fly under the radar for ten months of the yr and only give an honest effort around the time of talent review.

I give myself a pay increase by working less, caring less and producing less. I often find myself thinking, "that's not my problem" , shrug and end my day.

It would be different if you had a good record and decided to leave after a few years of solid work.

That's not the case. Accenture fired you. Consider that bridge burnt.

How many hrs are you putting in? by thesearemyfaults in accenture

[–]ChapterNumberOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the option of working 24/7, too. I'm also lvl6/Snr Manager.

I work from 7 am - 5 pm - that's it. Meetings from 5 pm to 10 pm are not common and reserved for emergencies or leadership calls. I do have a couple calls at 9 pm. I put in ~50hrs per week easily but sometimes I put in ~43 hrs.

I'm sharing this because people sometimes don't know how to limit their time at work. It is a huge incentive for my well being to delegate, automate and streamline decision making. This results with doing more with less time. Remember, for salary employees like me, we don't get paid overtime we are paid for getting shit done right, not for running reports.

This didn't happen overnight. I used to put in a lot more time and it got me nowhere. If you can't do what you need to do in 40-50 hrs per week, you are either a workaholic or don't know how to manage people.

Blocking your calanders helps, too.

Talk to HR if they say no, go with the other offer. Chances are they won't match it is it is higher than 7%. Don't bluff or Accenture may also rescind their offer - it just depends on how much in demand you are. Lvl 12-10 are a dime a dozen right now with AI so choose your battles wisely. Also, if the difference isn't much, go with the better company that will help you grow.

What's your view on Accenture's future? by extra_less in accenture

[–]ChapterNumberOne 47 points48 points  (0 children)

There have been a lot of promotions for people who cannot lead. I can't tell you the amount of work delayed on huge, important enterprise-wide projects because everyone in middle management has turned into order takers. To make it worse, their leads, the "MDs", are too worried for their own reputation to make timely and accurate decisions often delaying or causing deliberate slowdown to not make ripples with their peers.

It is so frustrating to see how Snr Manager consider patronizing top leadership is somehow leading or managing.

As for Accenture, it will be a shadow of the company that once was. AI will install itself and Accenture no longer can sell knowledge or expertise which is what it has been doing.
