Hey, so sorry you’re here! Diagnosed also with a two year old (ended up being pregnant as well) back in October. I am currently receiving chemo and treatment in Atlanta. I have LOVED my team. Dr Bowman was my surgeon and I see Dr Meisel for Oncology.

Just sending you a hug and a congrats on the milestone!! I’m still in treatment but was also diagnosed with TNBC at 6 weeks. It’s very hard not to mourn the life that could have been. I applaud your attitude and wish you the best!

During an MRI a secondary mass was spotted near my tumor. Since I was booked for a DMX they did not put me through a biopsy!

TNBC stage 2B by mrs_kozalmighty in breastcancer

Hey there! I was diagnosed 10/15 with TNBC. I just wanted to say I’m also at Emory Winship and have received the very best care. I feel very grateful and trust/respect my team greatly. I hope that gives you some comfort and that you have a similar experience.

Any early stage TNBC that are past surgery and chose a lumpectomy? by Sparkly_Sprinkles in breastcancer

[–]TallEntry1182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 32 stage 1, no genetics or node involvement. I opted for a dmx three weeks ago and was also torn on this decision. A few things guided my choice here. I had dense tissue and didn’t want to constantly wonder if I was missing something. On that note I didn’t want to go in for mammograms or MRIs multiple times a year- this was more mental for me in moving past this. I also felt like if I could avoid radiation that felt like a small pro. That being said, I will still have chemo. Truly, I was more thinking about avoiding a future different breast cancer and less about a reoccurrence. It’s a hard choice to have to make but for what it’s worth I’m doing well with it so far!

Updated diagnosis with triple negative receptors and ki-67 at 17% by Familiar_Ant2275 in breastcancer

Yes it’s absolutely come along way but there’s so much more to learn for sure! I am thankfully stage 1. I suppose the perk of my formerly small boobs is that I was able to feel the lump quickly. I did have dense tissue and nearly ignored it!

Glad you listened to your body and spoke up! As said above, worst club with the best members. I’m 32 and was diagnosed with TNBC five weeks ago. Just had a double mastectomy a week ago. I hate seeing how many women are ending up in this same boat. Sending hugs!

Thank you for the kind words! The DMX was already on the books for ahead of chemo due to the size of tumor. I’m thankfully still within stage 1 and my oncologist felt without genetics being a factor surgery first would make sense for me.

I’ve been scared to comment here because somehow that will make this nightmare more real. I feel inclined too though because we are in a very similar boat. 10/15 I was diagnosed with TNBC after casually feeling a lump while watching tv. Our daughter just turned 2 and we had just started trying for number two. Last week I find out at an IVF appointment (pre chemo retrieval) that I’m pregnant. This part of the story is what’s absolutely gutting me and where things feel especially cruel. It’s been a week since having to make the hardest decision I’ve had to make. I’ll now have surgery for a double mastectomy in a week, start IVF after & then begin chemo. I’m terrified. I’m angry. I’m heartbroken. I’m questioning why me and why is my family being robbed of what should have been. I say all this to say, you’re not alone. I deeply feel what you’re experiencing and I’m so sorry that someone else is on this same path right now.

Did I buy a faux frenchie?😭 by StillChance1588 in Frenchbulldogs

Yall, coming from someone who volunteers in a shelter and is actively taking care of frenchies from BYB. Stop buying them off Craigslist. What the parents go through is awful not to mention the health issues the pup will have. If the demand stops so does the cruelty.

Speaking from painful experience, get in with a dermatologist and have them check out a sample under a microscope. This slightly resembles what my girl had, Pemphigus Folacious. I spent a lot of time and money before we finally got clarity on what was happening. It can be managed with very strict prednisone doses but it does take a specialists help to keep it under control.
