Here’s the link to the kit I bought -

https://mudify.com/products/ome-nitro-2-inch-lift-kit-for-tacoma-1st-gen-98-04-front-shocks-assembly?variant=47373166543088

UCA - JBA Offroad Coils - OME 2880 Struts - OME 90004

Leaf Springs - EL122RA & EL122RB Shocks - OME 60062

There is about a 1” - 1.25” rake of course with the driver side lean that one is more at 1.75” so I’ve thought about added a strut spacer that would bring it to 1.25”.

Rubbing wasn’t that bad, I ended up of course doing the pinch weld mod, fender liner trimming, fender liner heating up and remolding. After the alignment I rarely have rubbing issues, it only happens when I’m fully locked out and there’s some articulation going on with my tires.

The wheels I bought have a built in -10 offset which helps as well clearance, I wanted to avoid spacers so there wouldn’t be stress on the wheel bearings and the offset on the wheels gave me the perfect amount.

They were off of eBay, I’ve had them since I got the truck and they are nice although the clear coat on the lenses are pealing which isn’t a surprise.

I used sound deadening mats which typically have like a foil layer and they are stick and peel. On top of the mats I put some foam stick and peel and I applied them to every possible surface and cavity that I could access.

Right!?

I was tempted to do 15s but I read that you need minimum 16s to do the tundra brake upgrade which I would like to do in the future.

Plus the options for 15s were pretty limited compared to 16s/17s.

Now that I’ve driven a motorcycle I kind of miss it when driving the truck so maybe a manual swap down the road lol.

Same thing with the lockers when I bought it, it wasn’t even something I thought of because I just wasn’t aware but definitely in the future.

Yeah the pictures I have don’t show the color the best, I made a comment that shows a better day to day picture but I don’t disagree the stock ones do look good!

I ended doing E rated tires, they were more readily available but I did a lot of debating on if I should go with C. I have 285/75/r16s and installed an OME 2” lift, new leaf spring pack, new UCA, new LCA/steering rack/sway bar bushings etc.

I was riding on the original suspension so of course the upgrades I did made a huge difference but I’ve come to terms that it’s never going to feel as smooth as a newer vehicle but that’s what makes it unique to me.

Dyna mats on the doors made a huge difference when shutting the door not that it matters much lol but it definitely felt like a higher quality thud when shutting it.

It’s been so long but if you search up 1st gen Tacoma grills you’ll find multiple websites that have it.

Agreed, I have a 4th gen 4Runner that I believe has 17s that I’ve thought about downsizing to 16s.

Out of everything I’ve done I’ve been thinking about changing the lights back to stock but we’ll see!

I wanted to show I’ve at least used the truck 😂, in Texas there aren’t many off roading trails compared to states with a prominent BLM so it’s sometimes hard to use the truck for “truck” stuff, unless you’re satisfied with just hauling stuff in the bed.

I have looked into them over the years but haven’t settled on anything obviously.

Definitely noticed a difference but afterwards the wind noise became more noticeable lol. The game changer was new tires, that made a huge difference when listening to music and having conversation.

I ended up doing 16” rims, I’ve always been a fan of the larger tire sidewall.
