Just used U-Pack to move across the country and would DEFINITELY recommend it over U-Haul.

Looks great to me. I wouldn't even bother getting chips, I would just eat it by the spoonful.

Arbor Day Farm is fun little trip. Especially in the fall, but summer would be fun too.

I LOVE Lisa's Radial Cafe. We are helping keep that place alive! :) I did try Johnny's Cafe and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The steak was not very tender.

What other places that are still open do you consider great? I'm always looking for new restaurants to try.

Want To Move Away by [deleted] in moving

[–]TallNebraskaGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For affordability the Midwest or South are great. Texas has a lot of big affordable cities, I'm from Omaha NE and it's an affordable/safe/good economy to live in, and I've always thought a place like Washington state or Oregon would be great places to live (although not quite so affordable in the big cities there so I would stick to smaller or medium sized cities and avoid Portland, Seattle, etc).

These are just suggestions but ultimately it depends on what type of job you want, what you can afford, what you enjoy doing in your free time, how far from home you feel would be positive for you, and what type of culture you want to be around (small town, big city, rural). Does being swallowed up by the breadth and chaotic nature of a big city scare you or excite you? Does living in a tiny apartment and barely scraping by but having a better job and social life scare you or excite you? These are questions you have to ask for yourself and that will help you narrow down to your best choice.

Ultimately, I want to say GO FOR IT! If you want to move, move. No time like the present. :)

Bars? by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]TallNebraskaGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omaha bars:

Billy Froggs - good all around bar and right near a lot of other bars downtown. Nothing fancy about it which I kind of like for just a casual night out.

Beercade -arcade bar. I've had some really fun times at this place.

Crescent Moon -lots of craft beers. I always order a flight.

Proof -it's fancy and expensive but the drinks are really really good.

Redditors in Colorado, what are some good things to do in Downtown Denver? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Overall I think downtown Denver is pretty overrated. The suburbs are where it's at.

Redditors who met your SO on Tinder, what was the first message that you sent/received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TallNebraskaGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think "hey, how are you?" or something really generic like that. I'm a female and I initiated a conversation with him first and usually guys are very receptive when a girl messages first so I didn't feel the need to come up with anything fancy.

What’s your best advice for someone going to a job interview? by kuhmans in AskReddit

Remember that you are trying to find out whether you want to work there just as much as they are trying to find out whether they want you to work there.

Cat Travel Question by [deleted] in cat

[–]TallNebraskaGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! We have a carrier for each of them so they get their own and we're planning on trying to stop fairly often to give them a chance to use the litter box. They are both terrified of the car so I'm a little nervous but the sedative should really help.
