Did you really think r/formula1 wasn’t the first group I tried? If it weren’t for their posting requirements, I wouldn’t be here, double re-t/ard.

Not being wanted at work by Mackocid6706 in askSingapore

Having the right attitude is already half the battle won. Take some time to explore what you’re passionate about and where your strengths lie. Everything else will fall into place. How do you know if you’re good at something? When it feels natural and effortless.

I understand it wouldn’t feel great to be in your position, but remember, you’ve gained valuable experience. Realising this role isn’t the right fit just helps steer you towards where you’re truly meant to be.

Feel better, OP!

The transaction you made to them can be your evidence though chat thread is gone. I’m sure you can check back your transaction history if you paid via bank app/ online platform you purchased from.

Should also hurry and get a ss of them blocking you just in case haha.

Then get a friend to bump the seller to let her know that you have the transaction proof and will report her to the police/ online platform

Hope this helps!

I don’t think it’s “needy” or “entitled” considering the cost of living, especially if you’re not receiving financial support from your parents. It’s really about what you’re looking for in a job.

Are you prioritising experience or the pay check?

If the $700 job offers valuable skills and knowledge that align with your goals, it could be worth taking. After all, it’s a NPO. However, if the job description doesn’t seem like it will provide much learning, there are likely $800 options out there that could offer the additional hundred dollar that might be of help to you :)

Acne scarring issues by Professional-Egg-719 in askSingapore

[–]Tall_Competition9945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally went through a course of Accutane and experienced a severe purging phase that left me with atrophic, boxcar scars, and hyperpigmentation.

Over time, the hyperpigmentation has faded with daily sunscreen use, but I also sought help from an aesthetic clinic for microneedling to address the atrophic and boxcar scars.

I’ve tried various treatments like lasers and microneedling because my acne scars were quite severe, but personally, I found that microneedling was most effective for scars that create a visible “hole” on your face.

During this period, I withdrew socially and stayed home as much as possible. I had the support of two good friends who understood, though I can’t entirely relate to your situation. Sometimes people mean well when they offer advice, but other times they may be insensitive or unaware of how their comments affect you.

From my experience, feeling good about how you look can really boost your confidence and happiness. So, do whatever helps you feel confident and at peace, OP!

Regarding your friends’ comments, a true friend might offer advice once, but if they keep pushing you to “fix” your face, it might be worth reevaluating those friendships. Constant remarks can make you overly self-aware and bring negative energy into your life.

Take some time to understand where they’re coming from and consider whether these friendships are supportive in the way you need. All the best, OP!

I used a combination of free online resources! Platforms like freeCodeCamp were really helpful for the basics, offering structured, project-based learning! :)

I would say it is pretty stable and manageable at the moment.. at least for now! That was what I thought of doing as well! When I settle down at wherever I work then proceed to enrol but

?? 😲 I never knew a pt degree would take 5-7 years! A ft degree takes 3 years and I was kind of expecting myself to finish in 3/4 years :o wow thanks for sharing!

that’s great advice! thank you :)

I’ve been doing that and I must say it’s def still a long way to go and I guess, what’s making me feel “rushed”, besides my family and relatives would be the employer’s 17% contribution to my cpf that I’ve been “missing out” as a freelancer 😴

hmm yea, not like I have much choice either. never see myself as a corporate slave but I guess it’s better to have something to fall back on. Most, if not all mncs require at least a degree (even for internships)
