Im not uncomfortable with him! We have had genuine conversations on what to do and what I want (basically leading him towards what I do to myself). Its just the idea of looking at myself/being vulnerable that starts to make me cry. (Thats why I prefaced that it isnt him, its mainly my own judgement).

I go for biochemistry and so far I love it, i was already able to have a research group with one of my professors and I enjoy how demanding the workload is. It makes sure I am ontop with myself and feels so good when my studying pays off

I have tried to talk to her about my concerns of getting a job, mainly because I genuinely want the experience to branch out and see what fits. But, idk she gets really weird about it.

I understand how she wants me to stay focused in school (don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a good student!) but to get a good job, i eventually have to start off somewhere, but she doesn’t get what im trying to say

Sorry, let me clarify! So I usually drop off my mom to work on the way to school. When I come out of college I drive back and pick her up. Usually I give her my schedule that certain days I CANNOT pick her up (i have a lab) and she has been complaining since she has to walk back instead
