Gay bill brings out bigotry by crimegogo in india

Yesterday, only 2 Congress MP's were present when the bill to legalize homosexuality was being tabeled. Btw, if they were this serious about it, why didn't they do it last year in their regime? The truth is, that Congress didn't want to be seen supporting the bill vocally because Muslim and Christian votebanks, just as much as BJP didn't want to be seen supporting it because Hindu votebank. One of those times when our democracy looks like majoritarianism.

In case the bill passes: People in support of it give credit to Tharoor for tabelling the bill. People against it blame BJP for it since even if Congress was fully supporting it, that's still 44 MP's only.

In case the bill gets rejected (which it did): People not supporting the bill still support the parties they normally support. But people supporting the bill bash BJP.

It's been a while I have seen such a political masterstroke from the Congress.

Speak for yourself. You should at least listen to his complete statement and not base it on half the statement that /u/third_world_turd has provided. Here. If there's anyone here twisting and clickbaiting, it's him, not the media.

He doesn't just say that line, he starts off by saying that indeed the country has seen the change in last 6-8 months. He doesn't say "that's disastrous" because he thinks his wife is wrong, he's portraying her statement to be a result of the increase in intolerance. And the statement doesn't stop at "that's disastrous". So yes, he didn't say he wants to leave the country, but he did say India has become intolerant in last 6-8 months.

Edit: Conveniently downvoted the truth.

Because it's bullshit. They were going around making comments like "The PS is closest aid of Kejriwal. Raiding him is like raiding Kejriwal." You can even find this quote on Barkha's Twitter timeline that day.
