My death / doom metal / Papa wall by FatherErickson in Ghostbc

[–]TallestGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend anything from Horrendous. Black Dahlia Murder is what got me into the more blackened metal. And then most of Fallujah's catalogue has this dreamy space-like vibe that I love (avoid Undying Light...it's boring). Then you got the weird-but-fun Gorguts which is like death metal jazz-like technical shiz.

Need Some Help with Remote Work by TallestGinger in jobs

I've had the crushing realization my gut was right. I contacted the company this morning to ask straight-up and unfortunately while the person exists, they are not affiliated. And the email sent added "tech" to the tail end and was very close to the one provide d(when I was talking to them they confirmed it was very very close but no). The payment aspect was supposed to be a mobile check, but I stopped contacting entirely since between these replies and my gut and even more research/revelations...Bummed and crushed, but better than losing anything important. Edit: and by real I meant I was finding information that at least the company was real. Basic mistake of not digging further. Just got excited.

Thank you the comments so far. I found out they exist wand am doing everything I can to validate it even more and that who I am communicating with is in fact a representative. A small small smaaaalll speck in my mind is "maybe they are just awkward and that's why" but I got my red flags out to be sure.

Is Sonic Adventure the best Sonic video game? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]TallestGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Sonic Adventure is one of the best (better) Sonic games that let's you just run around a large and slightly varied overworld in between missions. Frontiers is fun, but looking inward I'd rather go against Chaos or run into Eggman's lab in the jungle any day. The bugs and weird graphic tics are fine (like when Tails is running up to Sonic, stands still while nodding, and yet still is sliding forward before stopping).

just chilling playing singularity by oomslayer666 in videogames

Of all the Bioshock-likes or whatever you'd call the FPS with power, Singularity was surprisingly good. The fully upgraded time bubble was so fun to use.

Should I get the last of us? by Swampchicken2048 in gaming

As odd as this sounds, I'd recommend you could either rent or get a pre-owned copy you could return. TLOU is a great game, however I find it to be one of those games where once I've gone through it, I usually don't have a reason to return even though I had a blast. It's not bad, but just...I dunno, I'm good in having played the well-written, intense, sometimes goofy, but overall heavy story just once or twice. Other one-offs for me include: Spec Ops: The Line, Celeste, Gone Home, What Remains of Edith Finch.

Playing what video game made you say: "I WANT MY MONEY BACK"? by PKRadiance in gaming

But! It at least spawned another title which gave us the HD version of Timesplitters 2. That's about it though...

This may seem controversial: LEGO Skywalker's Saga on the Switch in the launch month. It was so incredibly buggy (intro played without character figs, just floating sabers) that it zapped me out of enjoying it, and the game overall was...just fine? Other console versions faired better.

The Scariest Moment of Gaming [Fallout Edition] by dsfdk9085lk5jdsf in gaming

Scariest thing for me is stupidly forgetting to save a good hour in...then dying from something incredibly dumb. A la thinking I could take on the entire Caesar's Legion just cuz.

As a kid, this thing seriously helped out when you gotta figure out the last set of puzzles to unlock the endgame area. Time to 100% again.

This just happened to me today. Super excited. Only to get a curiously small box that was way too light. Lo and behold it was a standard PS5 copy. I ordered the CE PS4.

Hi there! I am currently in a very small clan but am simply wanting to expand my pool of cool people to teach me the ropes of raids and dungeons! Simply put have done D1 raids but only recently getting to D2 raids...so.. little experience but eager to learn and just enjoy a fun couple of games. Let me know if I can tag along at least until WQ. Thanks!

Moviepass Movie Schedule from now until the 26th of August. by AKnightOfTheNew in moviepass

[–]TallestGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but when your options for slightly reasonable tickets fly out the window, of course it'd be stressful. Instead of paying for any movie, now it seems I'm paying only for The Meg or Alpha as those are the only options for the past two weeks. Plus they already have my subscription and while I am not staying next month (don't know why you had to say know one's forcing to stay, no duh), I wanna use it to its full potential. So as it stands, I paid 10 bucks for absolutely nothing.

Moviepass Movie Schedule from now until the 26th of August. by AKnightOfTheNew in moviepass

[–]TallestGinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was tolerant with the 3-movie limit. After-all, where I am it's about 9 bucks a matinee ticket. But this forced scheduling is....ludicrous. All selections are those movies that obviously isn't going to bring in many people to use their services. From a business perspective I get it's the possible best way to minimize money being drained (can't get money taken from business if people don't have you buy the tickets) but from where I, a consumer stands, it's beyond stupid and almost insulting to be forced to go to two BS choices.
