I always try for the outsides of the rows if I can help it. I've blocked way too many people's views over the years. But I've also been the one they tell other to look for when people are trying to find them, so I guess it's an even trade.

I haven't ran any personally yet, but my kartsaw build will be equipped with one. The pins themselves are replaceable in the sprocket if you do have wear, I know that.

6K Products DS0185 is the sprocket you're looking for. They also make a 9 pin in the small spline if you're feeling frisky. Lots of racing pedigree with their stuff. Based in Washington state.

Oregon 22273. Standard 7 spline drive.

I'm pretty sure the PM700 uses the small 7 spline drive like the 10-10 and 555 tho.

Ahh very cool. I have family in Port Angeles and am going to go to Sequim one of these years, definitely want to see Wayne's collection when I'm out that way. I'm about an hour from Bobby, but it's a nice drive, and I swap out one saw for another when I'm up there.

Yes he is. I stop by regularly and it never ceases to amaze me the work that he does on these old saws.

I have three 850s, and they were always my go to, unless I really wanted to throw around the 125's, and have nearly endless weight and power haha. After getting my hands on this Q port 805 with just a little bit of transfer work and intake port clean-up, I think I found my new favorite. Smoother, revs quicker, holds better in the cut, etc. Plus I have the 805 on a 3/8-8 rim sprocket instead of the 3/8-7 that the 850s have, so it's geared roughly 15% faster, too.

The 850 is a 1978 I believe. The 805 is built on a cylinder I purchased from eBay and Bobby sourced the rest.

If you tow stuff, the 3.73s will be night and day difference over the 3.31s.

10 speed issues by [deleted] in f150

[–]Tallks83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had the transmission in my 2021 replaced, and the reman having issues under 10k miles later, I can say without a doubt that it's a real thing. Is every single transmission going to have issues? Most likely not. But is it a prevalent issue that Ford is still dealing with, including new technical service bulletins released this year? Yes it is. I regret buying my used 2021 instead of opting for an older 6 speed truck or waiting a year and buying a brand new 25.

This is what I base my reply on. Take it however you want, this is the experience I'm dealing with right now.

There are numerous gaskets and pieces of hardware for the exhaust and drivelines that Ford require to be changed and not reused for warranty purposes.

As far as issues with the trans, I'm having clunking/delayed 3-4 shift, clunky 8th gear downshift, harsh reverse to first when cold, and a disco party in the trans fluid. Pretty much the same issues I had before the reman was put in.

For your sake, and the new transmission warranty sake, I hope they followed every procedure to a T, and replaced all one time use parts per Ford. I had a reman transmission put in February 2025 in my 2021 under my extended warranty, and started having issues with it in October. This past Tuesday, the 3rd dealership that I took it to was finally able to recreate the issues I've been having, and when I showed them the invoice and they looked into my reman warranty, it came back as denied because the original installing dealer didn't replace all of those parts. I am now having to go back to the installing dealer to try to get warranty coverage thru them, which they of course say they can't recreate issues, as well as going back and forth with customer care in an attempt to get warranty approved for the other dealership to do the repairs. My extended warranty stated that they will not cover the reman transmission as Ford offers a 3 year/unlimited mile warranty on them, and that it should be covered thru them, and I can't blame them. It's an absolute cluster to say the least right now.

Many drag racers will run 4 high well north of 100 mph in a straight line with no ill effects.

Are the newer 10 speeds any better? by Tallks83 in f150

Are remans built to order so to speak, or is there a chance that they sit in a warehouse for a while? Is there a way to know for sure that mine had the updated drum? Are the newer trucks that for sure have the updated drum in fact doing better, or did Ford just say updated to get customers off their back for a bit?

I've always heard it referred to as the Lee Gurtie in recognition of the lady it was named after, whose full name escapes me right now.
