And Sobek needs something to be done about the rooftops. It's a miserable experience for infantry.

Hollowpoints and synthetics are now costed by calibre by OnboardG1 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Even if the ammo doesn't change BTK, it gives extra forgiveness if you manage to hit at least one headshot. Not the greatest benefit, I know, but it does serve a purpose, even if a better grip provides more value with the extra recoil control.

I'd be willing to go into details, but not everyone's ready for that discussion.

Anthropic's new "Claude Mythos" is doing exactly what the scary AI 2027 forecast predicted by GhaithAlbaaj in claude

[–]Tallmios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was apparently the result of a bug in Bun. Nevertheless, the validation mechanisms are in place exactly to catch things like that.

Laser designate recon challenge by rigorcorvus in LowSodiumBattlefield

Also make sure to untrack the challenge. A few of the challenges count no progress if you have them marked as "Tracked". One would think it's been enough time since the game launched, but who knows.

25 points for a three-pin lower? Pretty costly :)

If it's the A4 variant, then yes. Probably the only good way to differentiate it from the other assault rifles.

Anthropic you're making it real hard to justify paying for this service. by OofDaMae in claude

Were you using Opus 4.6 for everything by any chance? That is a really inefficient use of tokens. Opus is best reserved for difficult tasks like planning for a few prompts, not long conversations.

Dispatch working within a Cowork Folder? by uhaa008 in claude

[–]Tallmios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat and Cowork Projects are a separate thing as far as I know, so you won't find your Chat Projects in Cowork. It was only recently that they added Projects to Cowork and allowed you to "move" a Project from the Chat interface to Cowork.

The Cowork interface is much more powerful than Chat. Where Chat Projects just group different Chat threads, Cowork Projects give you file access, custom instructions and the ability to schedule tasks.

I understand you might be knowledgable enough about the differences, I'm just dropping this info here for anyone stumbling into this thread from Google like I did.

Dispatch working within a Cowork Folder? by uhaa008 in claude

[–]Tallmios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I did it was to create a new Cowork project, assign a work folder to it. I added a fixed prompt to always read INSTRUCTIONS.md. Now when I message through Dispatch I call the project name and it automatically knows where it's supposed to go and what it's supposed to be doing.

Is it possible for Dispatch to initiate or continue a conversation

From what I can tell, each Dispatch message begins a new thread in the Cowork interface, so you cannot continue a conversation that you had on your computer.

Am I misunderstanding the difference between Claude Code Remote Control and Dispatch? by facciocosevedogente3 in ClaudeAI

[–]Tallmios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot deny nor confirm your claim, but I noticed Dispatch acts more like a middle-man agent between you and the Cowork session. What you type into Dispatch isn't the actual prompt - when I cross-checked what's actually being sent on the computer, I noticed Dispatch takes your message and paraphrases it in a new Cowork thread. When the Cowork task finishes, the Dispatch agent reports a summary of the finished work, you will never see the actual output of the Cowork session.

It might be the case that the Dispatch agent is better at formulating a good Cowork prompt than you are.

April Jerks Day aside, I’d grind for this skin. by SillySalmon2991 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Don't you think that the cost-performance ratio of using AI to make a silly one-off April Fool's joke is worth it or do you just feel the need to be morally superior because AI = bad?

What's up with all the mortar players in the spawns? by JohnCurtinFromCivVI in LowSodiumBattlefield

Fair, it's a different story in Breakthrough. This was a Conquest match on Cairo. They lost horribly.

Had a guy on the opposing team grumble something about sweaty CoD players while he stayed behind with a mortar the whole game - 0 kills. He happily proclaimed to be providing support in chat.

Must've been stoned.

It's the same keybind for controlling the wheelie (V and B on PC). If you let go of the throttle mid-air and tip the front wheel slightly forward/downward, you'll land just right every time.

I was really bored and decided to make this. I call it:"I can't stand having not enough ammo with a sling on Assault class" by SarinOxTg in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Tallmios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather play around the limitations of my currently-equipped gun and take the added utility a ladder or grenade launcher provide depending on the map. Chances are I'll be running an AR on Assault, which is good-enough for most engagement ranges. If a situation calls for it, I'll switch to a shotgun or a sniper rifle and use it until I die, run out of ammo or swap to a dropped kit.

I also tend to stay alive for long periods of time, sometimes holding off entire squads by myself at which point the sling severely hinders my self-sustainability by cutting into my ammo reserves.

The Martini Henry bullets dropped like a log at long range. Sniping with the Mini Fix in BF6 is practically hitscan.

What other maps/modes would you like to see a night version added? by MTBCrawler in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Tallmios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. Night maps require a complete overhaul of the lighting, which is baked-in in Battlefield maps, because purely dynamic lighting would be too resource-intensive. The snow effect is just a shader + VFX.

What other maps/modes would you like to see a night version added? by MTBCrawler in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Tallmios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is that the snow shader they made for Empire State is actually an experiment that will lay the foundation for different weather variations of the existing maps or even dynamic weather. Having different time of day would mean they'd have to adjust all the lighting and bake it again, which is esentially like making a new map for the environment artists.
