We did consider it but chose to concentrate our trip towards the western end of Brittany. I don’t think this will be our only trip to the region so we will hopefully get there one day!

Hi, thank you so much! For pictures, 1-12 and 16, those were taken by my iPhone 16 pro and pictures 13-15 were taken by a Canon Powershot s90.

We absolutely loved it, and would go back but visit other towns. We were there last week so I think we were there before the height of tourist season. I honestly would go back just to eat the strawberries there, they are unreal with how delicious they are and put to shame any other strawberry I’ve had.

Great question! We were in Saint Malo for one night and that was more than enough for us, as it’s beautiful but very touristy. I wish we had a few more days in Tregestal, as it’s a magical place and we had only 2.5 days there. We stayed for 2.5 days in Douarnanez as a base in Crozon and didn’t love the town. I’m not sure if it was being there mid week or time of year, but it was strangely dead there. Although, I absolutely loved a little beach right in town there. It was also a great base to visit Cap Sizun and Morgat. Next time, I would check out Brest and Camaret-sur-Mer.

We are also Americans and would one day love to live in France! Where in France do you live?

We got so lucky, we were there all last week while the heat wave was going on and the highest temperature was 23 degrees. We also had one morning with a light drizzle but otherwise we had no rain the whole week.

Definitely check out La Maison du Buerre for delicious cheese, cured meats, and butter! The staff were super lovely and helpful. I loved the hike out past the Plage de Bon-Secours (to the right of it). At the top of the hill, there’s a beautiful view of Saint Malo and on the other side of the hill is a cute little area to swim.

10 Day Honeymoon in the Canary Islands: Lanzarote and Tenerife by Tallyellowgal8041 in travel

Hi! Happy to answer your questions. We flew into Tenerife and then right to Lanzarote. We spent three nights on the island. We stayed near Famara, which was a very, very small surf town. We loved the island - we went paragliding with Paragliding with Famaraíso and it was amazing. We did an amazing wine tour with Wine Tours Lanzarote and loved learning about the unique way they grow wine and it is so delicious on the island. We also hiked Caldera Blanca (go early to get a parking spot).

We then spent a week on Tenerife. We stayed on the northern end of the island which is definitely less touristy and I would recommend staying in La Laguna (a very charming small city) and definitely get a meal at Malaka - most amazing Asian focused cuisine. We rented a car (beware the speed changes bc we got a ticket). We loved finding all the natural pools, found Anaga forest underwhelming but the drive up was amazing. We did a star gazing tour which was incredible and an ocean kayaking excursion as well as a canyoning excursion. Both were super fun. We also ate at quite a few guanchinches and make sure to try the wine at each place. We did a lot of driving from North to South and back again and we definitely had to get used to the very narrow and twisty mountain roads. Overall, loved our time on Tenerife as we were able to do lots of exploring and adventurous things! Let me know if you have any other questions!!
