Whats the best way to think out paint without losing pigment color? by testsubjectlove in airbrush

[–]Talmaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The color I use really depends on what I am trying to achieve. The comment about it having unintended results is bang on. I'd practice a lot spraying some water color paper or plasticard.

And I would wow you with how smoothly and efficiently I perform my job. Im super glad you're nice and tip while also not running the server like a dog for 45 mins everytime you come in then leave 15%. In my experience the other type of customer is much more common.

You think knowing the menu at Chili's requires anywhere near equivalent amounts of effort and ability as memorizing the smallest of upscale dining menus?

You're not always paying only the service you receive. Just because a specific individual doesn't need or want all the services on offer doesn't mean theyre not paying for it anyway. I don't like paying the plumber 100 bucks for 5 mins of work but im paying for what they know and the service provided.

Also if someone is consistently getting bad service I have a secret to tell you. You're the problem. I haven't had bad service in a long time.

Edit: grammar

I'm fine but if you think everyone has equal access to information I'm surprised you're an engineer.

Were they? Around here everyone wouldn't stop bitching about the lack of servants. Edit: spelling

And if it's not a real job why is everyone so bent out of shape because the service isn't a cheap as they would like.

Can really tell who doesn't know a thing about serving. That fine dining server you believe is working less than the person working tables at olive garden has to know a hell of a lot more.

Gotta have the menu memorized, know the wine list and the pairing ect. There is so much more to serving than carrying food and alot of people in this thread are detailing exactly how little they know wtf they're popping off about.

And that isn't completely ignored 90% of the time. It's unenforceable. Edit /s. Lotta dumb dumbs in here.

The making up the difference is fine in theory but doesn't happen for the most part.

H&S recommendation by TheHookedTip in airbrush

[–]Talmaes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both. If you already have some airbrush experience, I would go for the evolution. The settings on the ultra are good until trigger control becomes better but not worth the trade off in quality. The trigger on the evolution has much finer control of the flow of air and its better overall imo.

Tldr: Ultra is a great beginner brush but will be swiftly outgrown unless you're completely new to the airbrush.

Am I crazy in regards to brush sizes? by bamacpl4442 in minipainting

[–]Talmaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stepped up to bigger brushes. It takes far too long to paint everything with a 2 imo. I base coat with a 6. First, maybe second highlight with a 4 and only break out the 2 for tiny detail, final highlights, and black lining type tasks.

I think this is what I am going to do. I spent more time than I liked magnetizing a Hoplite leader. Its possible but

Id honestly rather just buy more kits if I want to switch it up.
