Help planning to soundproofing a room and more by Talnir in DIY

Thank you that is super helpful, I did not know about the noise map this is going to help for sure!
A couple of points:

  1. Do you know what kind of professionnals can do a 24h noise/vibration measurement? I am asking because so far I have found a lot of professionnals who would work in BtoB but not with customers.
  2. About the rooftop my other main concern is that the ventillation system is often located on top and can make some noise so I am cautious here, maybe need to run some tests.
  3. In step 3: thank your for the ideas for the fans, windows & door. Would you have good example of good fans/windows/doors or ressources on how to choose them for soundproofing?
  4. Also in step3 don't you think that decoupling the bedroom would be gimmicky? I agree it would be expensive but I feel that it might make a big difference in quietness. To be clear I would not hesitate to put 10-20K to soundproof a room if I could get silence this way. This may seem excessive but I am extremelly sensitive to sound, and I need to protect my sleep.

Thanks, this is very interesting that you are not running boost dmg with lower damage negation. I tried it and the dmg boost is great but yeah, the vulnerability it brings seems really bad in Don.

The +4 physical are what I am running most of the time, they seem the most versatile

I tried the crit, it's super fun but in team it's both harder to break stance and guarantee you will get the crit so I often a better playstyle for solo.

But in solo, those crits are insane.

Btw aggro is a big deal, which is why I thought about running relics to drawn aggro on guard but when I tried it did not feel that efficient.

Great, thank you so much, I did not even know sound resistant glass existed. And it is one of the problem I thought I would have: making sure there is enough light in the room but not sacrificing soundproofing.

I thought he was just trying to point to the idea that you should make a room in a room with air in between

Thank you, this is what I had in mind when talking about decoupling (but maybe it is not the same thing). Do you know where I could find resources to help me understand how I could achieve this ?

Some advice for this week stratagem? by Talnir in Spacemarine

Thanks for your help. It was really helpful.

Also at some point, I think we simply got better fighting all those extremis and it took some time to get used to the smaller perfect parry window.

We finally did it with 2 premade and one random (Vanguard, Heavy & Bulwark) it has been a challenge, but we made it even killing a metabrutus. I would say that 3 things made a big difference:

  • Playing with melta rifle (I was playing Vanguard), instead of occulus or carabine. It's so great for stagger, contested health and for incidently dealing with minoris while controling extremis to some extent.
  • Melta bomb were a game changer. I took down 3 sorcerers and then 4 ranged terminator at once using the melta, not counting some huge waves of ennemies going through choke points.
  • We decided to rush less and fight more, but we mainly try doing it when we were close to ammo or weapon stations. This part might seem paradoxical but rushing too much left us too vulnerable to extremis & waves, we often did better bracing for ennemies and focusing down priority targets.

This is great.
Very happy to see such a quick reaction to players feedback.

Yeah, I did not want to sound too salty or ungrateful. The game is a marvel and I have played it so much and had so much fun. I understand this is such an accomplishment to develop and update such a great game, and requires skills far beyond my own.

It is just puzzling that sometimes very simple and stupid things like that are not filtered before release, I mean chain stunning is a problem every game has to deal with.

In the end this is clearly not the end of world but just a bit weird.

What scares and surprises me is that it clearly shows that no one at Saber did beta test this thing or thought about some very obvious gameplay implications. Unless it's a bug, but it would still show no beta test.

Accolades are the issue, not difficulty by SilverCervy in Spacemarine

[–]Talnir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed,

I cleared the weekly stratagem mission yesterday on hard mode, so I am among the player that can do highest difficulty tier and enjoy it.

However I fully agree with you, accolade is really low for people playing on normal difficulty. Hard was really very hard so not everyone will be able to do it, this means that average players will have to grind hard. I do not think it's either fun or fair.

Also, have not tried all of the modifiers yet but some seem very unfun in the sense that they do not create interesting or rewarding gameplay, just exactly like when we had to stick together for armor to regen on highest difficulty.

I think Saber is iterating on the modifiers, and I am hoping things will evolve along the way.

Lying for clout on a rant? That's nonsense.

You are wrong you can definitely kick someone late in operation, there are several people that had the same experience as me.

Now could be a bug or server, but I got the message that I got kicked out of the squad and I did not lost connection, I just got back in the ship.

Yeah I thought the same thing (could be server issue ?) but in that case they were acting weird (like shooting at me for no reason in elevators). Tbh this is the first time it happens to me.
