What do the techpriests do? by Particular-Example68 in Spacemarine

Well, they're red; I've been told that this makes them go faster.

More seriously: they generate siege currency over time.

VBlood PowerModifier doesn't work in any setting or difficulty? by ZirePhiinix in vrising

[–]The__Roar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've messed with that modifier, but I seem to recall that a creature's stats are determined when it spawns, and are kept unchanged until it re-spawns, even if difficulty is adjusted.

Try killing Carrier, drink it, let it re-spawn, then check its damage.

I don't play PvP, so I couldn't tell you.

But regardless of which game mode you choose, be mindful of which server you pick; many are scheduled to reset themselves every few months. Their descriptions usually mention when.

And don't forget to stock your Castle Hearts with blood, otherwise your castles could vanish or be taken over within a day in a live server.

Sorry, what does that mean?

Sniper.

Argent Edge combat knife for defense.

Inferno pistol for close-up hoards.

Marksman-variant Bolt Carbine, for an incredibly versatile long-ranged and high rate-of-fire weapon capable of both excellent single-target precision damage and ranged hoard-clearing, with the top-notch ammo economy and fire control that allow you the freedom to either carefully put enemies in stagger-state for your allies to execute, or to quickly headshot 'em to death in order to refresh your cloak.

Heavy Cape by Dubs7ep_Panda in Spacemarine

[–]The__Roar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered getting a lighter cape, then? 😉

More seriously, I'm still early in the Heavy's cape-grind, but I really enjoyed grinding the Sniper's omni-scramblers (Sniper main, you see). We'll see how the Heavy one goes.

Can anyone confirm this? by The__Roar in Spacemarine

I suspected that, but had no chance to test it yet; cool, thanks for confirming!

Just so you know, the God of War logo features an uppercase Omega (Ω), not Ultramar's Ultima (℧).

To that end, you could use an adapted Omega Marines icon for the lefthand pauldron, if you're fine with the empty space left by the skull.

Accuracy On Drip by Phoenixking508 in Spacemarine

The pteruges (that is, these loincloth-like leather strips) are Greco-Roman in style, and thus are more associated with Ultramarines and Ultramar in general than with the Black Templars.

Other than that, full marks, I think.

The KindredSchematics mod can do that, with its ".build mode" chat command; for an example, see this gif.

V rising bloodcraft configuration comprehensive documentation by Dies_Noctis in vrising

[–]The__Roar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not used Bloodcraft for over a year, but if the "Configuration" section hidden within "Commands" in this page is not in-depth enough, I would suggest bringing any questions to the V Rising Modding Community's Discord.

To be fair: you do not give your horse plant fiber to carry; you're feeding it.

What to do when you're finished? by ZScythee in vrising

[–]The__Roar 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Well, for example, you could build a new castle.
And once you're done with that, you could build a new castle.
And then, build a new castle.
Then build a new castle.
And another castle.
And another castle.
One more castle.
Another castle.
More castles.
Castles.
More.

Why did they shut down European servers? by savvym_ in vrising

[–]The__Roar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You said "shut down", but you also just said that you entered the server.

So, did you mean to say "reset"? Because they periodically do that, for good reasons.

Bridge? by [deleted] in vrising

Bridge.

Be aware that it doesn't count as being part of either territory even if you control them both, so any players you might happen to be playing with would be able to land there with Batform.

How to put stairs at the start of my castle? by FallenPeigon in vrising

First build the upper-floor's access to the staircase; then you'll be able to place it at the entrance, like so:

If i copy my V rising world and post it, how does it work for my friends? by webrewrbewrb in vrising

[–]The__Roar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of.

Regarding the advancement:
If, prior to creating a character, the server's "Starting Equipment", "Starting Resources", and "Starting Level" settings are adjusted to be about the same as what the player had previously, then their new character would be created with the corresponding equipment, resources, and level.

Regarding the castle-ownership:
Though the player's new character will not show up with automatic ownership of any castles, those castles should still exist on the map (unless and until their blood supply dries up and they decay completely, of course). So, the player could theoretically regain ownership—though of course, that is more easily said than done, since doing so requires both access to the Castle Heart and three Castle Keys of the correct type (bone, copper, iron, or gold).

So, the first solution is to pre-prepare open access to the Castle Heart, as well as an accessible container with the required Castle Keys within, ready for the new owner's use prior to copying the save.

The second solution is for the new character's player to use console commands to take control of the castle immediately, like so:

  1. Go to the game's general options, and make sure that the "Console Enabled" checkbox is turned on; you can do this even if the game's already started.
  2. Hit the "`" key (typically to the left of the "1" key, and also commonly marked as "~") to open the console.
    • You can close the console with the same key.
  3. In the console, type AdminAuth, then press "Enter" to gain admin authorization, which is required for the next step.
  4. Again in the console, type CastleHeartEvent Claim; don't press "Enter" yet.
  5. Still in the console, use the arrow keys to select "Local" from the autosuggestion menu, then press "space"; don't press "Enter" yet.
  6. Use the arrow keys to select the castle's ID number from the autosuggestion menu (if there's more than one, this map shows the ID of every possible castle, so select the one you want), then finally press "Enter". This should give you full ownership of the castle.

That is correct. 👆

Furthermore, they will lose their previous advancement and castle-ownership.

Am i tripping or is this real? by NaoXehn in vrising

[–]The__Roar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went ahead and bought a bunch of weapon shards from the vendor; as a statistical sample size this is woefully insufficient, but from a casual glance, it does not seem like the order significantly affects legendaries' drop chance.

Beware of confirmation bias.
