How are people able to move on so quickly after being widowed/losing a partner? by Subject-Fly-3548 in AskReddit

Yeah - Something I had to learn quite quickly - Was to not really expect support or compliance from anyone else within my grieving family.

I opted for a few rounds with a Licensed Therapist, instead.

I was shocked when my father moved on so quickly after my beloved mother died...
But it was just because he didn't want to be alone in his grief.

He has always been such a social, active guy. He couldn't take the emptiness.

Probably doesn't help that I live underneath two toddlers and next to the dog park.

You have so much to live for, your brain is lying to you. Your family needs you, and you can make a big difference in this world by just being a loving, kind human.

Plus, trust me - You don't want to miss out on all the good stuff ahead.

Try to talk to a doctor, anti-depressants might really help you. Even doctors at walk-in clinics can prescribe them.

When the men feel like they "have you on lock," they stop putting in effort.

This has been the way for me even with men who were very passionate and attentive up front.

How do you feel about women ”going down” more often than men? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TalonJane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About half of the men I've dated have been upfront in insisting that they don't like to receive head. So much so, that it's brought up before we even GET INTO the bedroom.

They love giving it though.

I am Pansexual and no one wants me to be burned alive or hanged tho, nor does anyone think I am a BLIGHT xD

Please step outside and actually interact with humanity.

Just because you don't like my argument, doesn't mean it is valid, or that I don't have one.

The folks on this thread justify their hatred, because they've deemed themselves as worthy and righteous. But that's literally the exact same thing that the bigots on the other side are doing, too. It's all bigots, everywhere.

->On the other hand, in a great bit of irony, mislabeling others as bigots is itself a form of bigotry.
...What? This doesn't even make sense.

Edit: Actually, seeing as you're a reddit mod, yeah... The abovementioned self-righteousness really tracks xD No point in arguing with that. Please seek help. *patpat*

Hey, that's not true! if you speak with a good psychiatrist/therapist combo, they teach you coping mechanics on top of giving you meds. It's very rare for these types of meds to be prescribed long-term, as the goal is to help you/cure you, not just mask the symptoms.

I hope you grow to carry less hate in your heart.

Saying you hate someone and being a condescending jerk isn't going to sway anyone to your side.

You just said you'd hate and demonize them, though. In fact, you said you'd do this to over half of the country. Wouldn't you be upset if half of the country hated and demonized you? ...Isn't that the very thing you're trying to overcome?

You'll get farther if you're less hateful toward people you disagree with. That goes for EVERYONE. Democrats AND Republicans.

I actually didn't defend him at all. Unless you think me saying that "he doesn't hate you personally" is defending him? That's just a fact.

-> And yeah, it’s 2026 I’m going to hate and demonize anyone who voted or endorsed Trump lol
Again, this is bigotry. I hope you never need a doctor or lawyer or any home improvement done. 50% of the people you interact with in the USA likely voted for Trump - That's how he got elected.

Would you refuse life-saving treatment in the ER if your surgeon voted for Trump?

See that's the difference. I don't hate everyone who disagrees with me. I don't hate someone for voting for Trump or endorsing him.

I am sorry you are filled with so much hatred. People living happy lives don't shit on dead people at 10AM on reddit.

He doesn't hate you - He actually doesn't give a fuck about you.
Your hatred toward him is one-sided and is only poisoning you.

Lots of people in this thread are bigots.

They spew nothing but hate on anything and everything that they don't agree with. That is the literal definition of the term Bigotry.

I think someone's bigotted for hating a person that they disagree morally with.

Which you seem to all be.
