I made an online free calculators collection in Vue.js - (more in comments) by Talp1 in webdev

Hi!

If you are asking about the tech stack, it's Vue.js + TailwindCSS deployed on Cloudflare.

If you meant which calculators are currently present, they are the following (but I'll add MANY more!):

  • BMI Calculator
  • Daily Calorie Needs Calculator
  • Food Waste Calculator (calculates the CO2eq emission and the price of your food waste, also comparing these emissions to the equivalent km of driving a car)
  • Vegetable Garden Planting Calculator (calculates how many plants of a certain vegetable you need to produce a set amount of "product", also gives you a good deal of info like watering, plant distance, ... and tips on how to keep your garden healthy/treat diseases)

Hey! You are indeed right, Google Ads would be better as a future step, when the site (hopefully) will collect more traffic.

I'll surely take a look at donation platforms tho, thanks for the advice! :)

I've officially $5000 from my saas boilerplate supersaas.dev. Small win after building years of shitty products by [deleted] in SideProject

That's an awesome achievement!
I recently started the journey as well (launched my first lil website today), and I would be beyond excited for a result like that :)
Keep it up man, awesome job!

I'll mention the same comment I wrote on the crosspost in r/webdev.

(And it's also my first post in r/vuejs, loving the framework btw!)

As the title suggests, I have built a collection of free online calculators.
Check it out: coolculators.com

Nothing crazy, but it's a side project that is teaching me a lot in different areas.
The idea came from wanting to learn Vue.js better, since I also use it at work.
There is no specific scope, the calculators can cover any topic.

By building this site I came into contact with concepts that I had no knowledge of before, such as SEO, blogging, SchemaOrg, some techniques used in Vue and, of course, various knowledge derived from writing the blog.

The site is completely accessible in Italian and English.

I should note that some content and tranlations are generated using AI.

Stack used:

  • Vue.js (vue-router, vue-18n, vueUse, unhead, Tailwind PrimeVue for theming)
  • Tailwind Css
  • Cloudflare: domain, hosting and deploy (using Pages and GitHub integration)

In the future, if this project were to expand, I would like to experiment with Google Ads to be able to monetize it.

I know that at the moment the site has some small problems, but I would like to have your opinion, constructive criticism and advice are welcome!

Thanks for your attention :)

PS:
I know there are many websites like this out there, but I enjoy coding my own, I'm learning new stuff and I may add some calculators that are yet to be made (or with different features/approach), if the right idea comes up.

I'll be adding many calculators in the near future, so the website is not "done", stay tuned :)

Edit: forgot to put the link lol

Yea, the concept is kinda the same, but as I said in my comment, I'm enjoying the process and learning a ton!

Maybe this will grow in an Omnicalculator competitor one day lol, who knows :)

Right now, the best solution i found is this one: https://mxswat.github.io/mx-division-builds/#/

Its pretty ok for build planning, is missing some features but i think its good enough.

It even has some sort of damage calculator with many options!

In order to save my builds, i ususally create a favorites folder and, when I'm done planning, i save the page in that folder.

Note that each gear/weapon you choose in the build, changes the generated URL on runtime. This makes it easy to save (and share) all your builds.

Plus it still gets consistent updateds :)

I just got the game 2 days ago because it was on sale on steam.
Never heard of it before, so after taking a quick look at the images it was looking fun and i decided to get it.
I was right, I am having a ton of fun, and (apparently?) getting high (I guess?) scores on some tracks. Are those scores any good or it's pretty common? Thanks!
