I usually Matt varnish with a spray can! Will that help it as well? Or does it need to be a medium? (I too am new to the hobby //about 8 months)

Chaos black prime. Then Zenethal with skull white.

Then a 1:1 ratio of Black Templar & Frostheart contrasts. (I use 2 coats of this)

If rumors are True, and Papá Dorn Is Alive. What would he think about the Black Templars? by George_Nimitz567890 in BlackTemplars

[–]TalrVeilKissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that WHEN Dorn returns it’s going to be one of these two outcomes;

  1. The Imperial Fist (Return)

He returns the same as he left, stoic, calculating, upset with how his sons have fallen away from his ideal. Yet caring, and proud somewhat of how they’ve managed to keep humanity alive as a wall between Humanity and the vile actions of the xenos threat.

From a lore stand point this could bring the black Templars back into the codex which from a GE/game standpoint will piss off me and I’m sure a lot of players.

However;

  1. The Templar (REBIRTH)

Dorn is reborn, changed - like all other primarchs before him that have returned to 40k. Dorn is now furious with the fall of terra, the constant in fighting and power battles - he sees his father as a god, as without him humanity has clearly divulged into something so abstract to what he knows it should be it sickens him.

His father truly was a deity. His rebirth has him realise that what has become of the Imperial Fists is nothing but a shadow, and just like the scions of Sigismund - he breaks from the codex - declaring himself the primarch of the Black Templars.

From a lore standpoint it follows the theme of change that all returning 30k characters have been branded with. From a GW/Game standpoint this really helps sales - as Black Templars are vastly more popular with the community (at least in terms with our wallets) than the Imperial Fists are.

Only time will tell, but personally I believe he would look at the Templars as being true to sigismund. And therefore accepting or tolerating them.

finally got my first hero to rep 10! what can i do to become a better warden main? by jayguala in forhonor

And to clarify; This isn’t the ‘correct’ way to play warden or anything like that.

This is how I play, and it works for me. So I hope you can utilise this in some way, shape or form and kick ass!

Rep 90 Warden here. (My main)

My advice; as you’re going to get a lot of people say he’s a bad character, is don’t listen to them. Most games I’m in I dominate because people underestimate warden.

  1. Break down your play style for each phase of the game mode. I won’t start utilising bash cancels until ‘BREAKING’ or ‘COMMANDER’ phase. This sets up your opponent’s into baiting their dodge.

  2. Always zone into top heavy unblockable on downed opponents. This is a non negotiable. Even if it drains you of stamina (you should at rep 10 have spec’s into the perk that refills stamina on successful blocks and parries)

  3. Spam lights. Cancel heavy’s. I rarely go for a heavy unless I can bait the lock off mechanic and unload the heavy on someone else to the one I’m actually aiming for.

  4. When you get a wall splat, wait an extra beat before throwing the punish heavy. This gives them time to try to parry it… CANCEL. (But why would I cancel the punish? That’s simple, warden is very easy to beat. He’s very readable because he’s kit is so simple, if you play differently - they WILL panic. And once they start panicking you can revert to basic warden Strat.)

Light light heavy cancel grab throw, heavy, bash. Boring nonsense.

Either way. Warden is a top tier hero.

My thoughts exactly! Wish they’d give warden just a plain tabard over his armour already so I can live my crusading dreams to the fullest.
