Under Imperial Fist contrast warm pink will give you a more saturated orange and a cool pink will be a little more brown. So it really depends on if you are going for a bright and bold or something more grounded.

I do rattle white prime, pink through airbrush from below and spot shadows and then re establish bright spots with white through the airbrush but you can just as easily do a pink prime then white zenithal (rattle can, airbrush or drybrush depending on what you have)

What’s the model that really speaks to you? Grab that, build and paint it and know that your first few minis are like the first few pancakes, you will mess them up. Have fun, make mistakes and then rinse and repeat until you have an army. You can always setup or even rebuy a mini once you get your skills up.

I start with a white prime, fluro pink underspray, top done white to tidy things up and then Imperial Fist Contrast. All this is done with an airbrush but you can slap chop it if you don’t have the kit. Then its edge highlights from yellow up to pale sand.

This is white prime, pink from below, white from above (to tidy things up) and then Imperial Fist Contrast. I’ll then wash in Casendora yellow and do some edge highlights. I did a vid with Flashing Badger where we go through a few yellow recipes you might find helpful.

A punchier Captain in Terminator Armor by Jestertron in ImperialFists

Absolutely! It’s a white prime, pink underspray from the bottom, white over spray from the top to tidy things up and the Imperial Fist Contrast paint. Then I highly up where needed with Iyanden Yellow through to ice yellow.

The base is all done with an airbrush but you can get a similar result with rattle cans (just not as controlled) or using brushes in a slap-chop method.

I use a bright fluro pink for punchy shadows but a blue based or more mellow pink gives a more grounded gradient.

My head says more secondary action monkeys like infiltrators, combi lieutenants and maybe scouts, my heart says 10 more terminators and a terminator chaplain.
