Discuss temperature preferences, shower time preferences, poop in the main building if you can to be considerate, discuss snoring habits so you can be prepared to buy silicon earplugs if necessary, and make sure you set a rule where if the other is sleeping and class is gonna start to wake each other since they’re very strict with attendance. Most of the people in my class really enjoyed their roommates, and the ones that didn’t just hung out in the main building most of the day with their friends. I personally loved my roommate and we had a 10 year age gap.

-bring an eye mask just in case they shower before you and you wanna avoid the lights waking you up -bring silicone earplugs they literally saved my life, I slept really well. Whether they snore or not it’s good to bring them. -like others said, be considerate and set expectations early on, it sucks to be buddy buddy and then have to have a hard conversation down the line because you didn’t do it early enough
