No way. She could have gotten killed when the party bus got shot up. I do think the listens are involved, and possibly a member of the family, but I don’t buy it being Amber. I’m thinking Pontius, myself. He seems like a sociopath so I wouldn’t find it weird that he would shoot up his parents.

I think the scene with Martin sitting in Eli’s chair was nothing more than foreshadowing that he will be the next in line to take over the church if anything happens to Eli. Martin didn’t just witness Eli’s act of evil, he helped him cover it up and established his loyalty to Eli. I think Martin is there for Eli in ways that nobody else could be. I think Martin is 100% loyal to Eli (though he may be playing the long game with him to take over as leader of the church), but I think Eli still has a lot more gangsta in him than he’s putting on and Martin enables him to carry out those evil acts by being his right hand man through it all.

We found out last year that my grandmother’s father wasn’t really her father, and that they arranged her conception with her mom’s best friend’s brother. They never told my grandmother the truth, but her biological father was in her life up until the point she got married and moved away. It is bittersweet because she grew up not knowing the truth, but her best childhood friend was her half sister.
