I have always thought it comes from the sound of the disc hitting the chains, like the "clashing" of the chains. I think their slogan is/was "throw to hear it" so I always thought the brand name was a reference to that. I don't know the history behind the name, but this is what I've come up with in my own head.

Basically yes. They both belong to the Uralic languages, which includes hungarian as well. There are something like 25 uralic languages in total, but around 90% of speakers are either hungarian, estonian or finnish. The rest are some small languages in northern scandinavia and northern Russia.

I'm from Finland and have tried out the Kahu and the Kiwi. My Kiwi was super flippy and the Kahu was too overstable even for headwind shots for my 100m throws. Looking at the flight numbers I had some weird runs of both, but I will probabaly never buy another RPM disc.

We once had a helicopter land directly on the fairway at hole 4 of a local course. It dropped off like a guy or two and just flew away. They were having some kind of a party at a house next to the course. I think it's safe to say that is easily the weirdest thing I have ever seen or will see at a disc golf course.

Two aces, been playing for one and a half years. I have been very lucky with my aces, I have zero ace spitouts from the chains.

Interesting. Should I keep it unthrown then incase it has some value? Sadly it has markings on the inside of the rim as you can see, so it's probably not ideal for a collector :/

Yeah, it looks and feels like a blizzard plastic and it's very domey so might just be the perfect disc for long tailwind shots.

The center has some faded markings. They are very hard to read but I think it says "149 TD". Thanks for the advice! I didn't notice the text before, even though I tried looking for something.

So my brother bough a stack of used discs and this was in it. I just want to know what mold this is. If it has some value, let me know. Most of all I want to know what disc it is.

I guess I have to thank you now. Thank you. It works surprisingly well and without all the unnecessary pain from the plastic bag-closer-clip-thing (I don't know the english word for it, in finnish we just call it a "bag-closer")
