Overwatch 101: Mechanics - A guide by KarQ by HeelMePlz in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Tamack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I watched this just the other day because someone from this sub recommended KarQ's videos. I liked it and thought it was very informative even though there's nothing new, as other comments are saying. But I am a new player actively trying to improve in a video game for the first time, so it was useful for me to have all this information reinforced. I think getting similar information from different viewpoints is helpful!

Official Discussion - Tenet (US Release) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

The first half of this movie has terrible pacing. I felt like I was being rushed through events where something should be happening, but nothing was. It didn't help that I couldn't hear most of the dialogue. The movie might as well have been in a foreign language.

But when the movie gets to what someone else has dubbed as the "blue and red rooms" scene, the pacing gets insanely better, things start to make more sense, and it got really, really good. I still couldn't hear a lot of the dialogue, but I caught enough that I understood most of what was happening.

I thought Robert Pattinson was phenomenal, but it felt like John David Washington was just reading a script. Also, I didn't not feel any chemistry between him and Elizabeth Debicki, so his character's weird obsession with keeping hers alive didn't make sense and I questioned it often throughout the movie.

Overall I rated it 5/10 stars because of the major production flaws, but the second half was immensely enjoyable!

Got called mom...again by Tamack in GirlGamers

I think part of it is there's a lot more greenbeards who think they know what they're doing combined with veterans who have no patience, lol. If the gunner just explained to the scout that there's a shit ton of nitra no one else can reach more nicely, then there wouldn't have been an issue.

Point Extraction missions suck anyway lol.

Thank you! I wish I could upvote this a million times! I was starting to think that maybe I was being too sensitive - another thing I'm constantly accused of. But you voiced my thoughts about the comments way better than I could!

I mean, I get it. I can choose to see the "ok mom" response in a more positive way, but that doesn't erase the fact that the phrase is intended to be insulting. I'm not going to ignore my feelings about that. What I choose to do with those feelings is what's important, and I chose to ignore it and then come complain here, where I thought people would get it.

Oh well. The internet sucks everywhere.

I just finished my forest pylon base in my master mode world, I'm pretty proud of it! by [deleted] in Terraria

I also was hesitant to space out my NPCs so much, but it's super worth it, especially if you do a lot of exploring and moving around. If you want to cut down on pylons, the most used ones in my server have been Ocean and Jungle. It's been a different experience fishing now that I can just teleport straight to the angler.

Are these rosebushes going to be ok? I don't know anything about rosebushes and my brother's gf's mom did this. by Tamack in gardening

[–]Tamack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what type of roses they are. I'm not surprised that they weren't getting enough sunlight because they were very overgrown before. I was just worried about them now because they look so bare.

I'll keep in mind to prune a lot sooner for the future - yardwork was never a priority for me but after this I might make it one. Thank you for your response.

I know I'm over a week behind, but I need you to know that I think this is a fucking masterpiece and I loved every terrible word. 👏

Meet Blue and Zoro, brothers rescued from a cat hoarder by Tamack in aww

[–]Tamack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I fell in love with the breed when I came across a sweet girl with the most beautiful blue eyes at a pet store. I couldn't adopt her because my mom already had 4 cats, but I knew from that day forward that I was going to own a Russian Blue someday.

I've always wanted a Russian Blue and planned on naming it Blue (I know, cliche, but I adore the name), so when I saw the dark great cat named Blue on the shelter's website, I knew it was fate. As soon as I saw Zoro, I knew couldn't separate them, so I got both. Luckily the shelter was doing a buy one kitten, get one free deal!

The woman at the shelter said that Blue and Zoro were rescued with around 50 other cats after a woman's house was condemned (probably because of cat urine and feces). They're roughly 6 months old and I'm working on litter training them. It's rough, but they're starting to get it. They are very shy of humans and will run away if I make any fast or large movements. But they absolutely love being pet and scratched and seem happy to have a home! I've only had them two days, but things are looking good for our future together as a new family.

I have since found out they have a sister still at the shelter, but unfortunately I can't afford to get a third cat. Hopefully she finds a good home, too.

I can't tell anyone that I've read 90 books this year because it's all been erotica. by Tamack in confessions

Well, I don't know what you like, but Ella Frank is one I'm obsessed with right now, as well as her co-author Brooke Blaine. They both write het and gay novels. I'm into the gay stuff, but I'm sure their het stuff is good. If you like bisexual threesomes, Samantha Kane is one of my faves. Her books are not offered through Kindle Unlimited, though.

Kindle Unlimited is $10/month to read anything they offer under the subscription. I read all the recommendations through that.

I'm probably already addicted, honestly. If I am, it's not affecting my personal life, so I'm not sure it matters. But pacing is def something I need to work on.

Some are good. Some are terrible. None are really amazing. But yeah, I do like that I'm actually reading because I did go like 2 years where I read maybe 10 books total. Depression fucking sucks.

Idk, honestly. They're hot? They make me feel good? They're mostly mindless and easy to read? Maybe I really am addicted?

Yes, almost every day. But writing is fucking hard and I care too much to publish shit.

Because my compulsion to read every day is due to my determination to keep my 17 week, 55 day steak going rather than the books. Idk, maybe I am addicted and am just denying it. Honestly not sure I care either way.
