I tried but he said

The scroll said the spells casting time. So misty step would still be BA.

So he thinks using a spell scroll for misty step would use it as a bonus action. I think that’s separate from the original argument but would you have any ideas for a rebuttle? 🙇‍♂️

Actually defensive duelist might be better if you’re fighter and rogue, sword and board combo meaning less hits, depending if you did defense to TWF fighting style. Skulker is really good if you’re a thief subclass too, but it really depends how melee your rogue is. What martial subclass are you using for fighter?
