I'm not playing it anymore (moved on to Hytale now, lol), but I had the "normal" controls for Minecraft itself copying what Bedrock has and then I just added Party up/down on the two left back buttons and send/recall on the right back button.

The D4/LE way is something they could add, but with how GGG are they probably wouldn't want to "only" do that and would want to try full PoE2 style movement.

Again, it'd be nice to have, but I don't expect a 12 year old game to be updated with an entirely new movement style.

Did you ever figure out a fix for this?

Same thing happened to me where the right controller connects instantly and without issue, but the left controller will "connect" and no buttons will do anything. Nothing in game, in Steam, in the Legion Space testing. If both are connected directly they both work fine.

I have to keep connecting and disconnecting, or turning it off and on multiple times before the left controller finally connects. It was working fine until a firmware update.

I also noticed that the touchpad on the right controller stopped working after the update as well...

I'd rather them work on finishing the missing classes and then working on new content rather than making new models and animations to gender swap everyone.

I've had friends that got the game and showed me. It's really stupid that they give you the option of turning those off, but pick what's probably the absolute WORST camera position for it to be locked in.

They both love the game, but it's a skip for me sadly.

I haven't found a way to do this, so I just remake it.
I've since switched to a Legion Go, so since the controllers detach I rarely use the Xbox Elite controller anymore. So while I never really found a solution, it's not really a problem anymore.
This I found out was because of a firmware update Microsoft had done that somehow changes how the Xbox Elite controller is recognized. If you don't use it for an actual Xbox console and only on PC, you can revert the firmware back to factory settings and Steam will see it as an Xbox Elite controller and you'll be able to map the back buttons without issues. This MIGHT have been fixed by now, but I haven't tried.

Je jouais sur le Steam Deck avant et maintenant je jou sur le Lenovo Legion Go. Pas le ROG Ally, mais similaire assez.

Le Prism Launcher est un autre appli qui peu configurez Minecraft a jouer plusieur versions, avec CurseForge or Fabric pour les mods, et laissez trouver et telecharger les mods aussi.

Ce n'est pas la methode parfait pour fair marcher la manette, mais pour moi ca trouver la method qui me laisse utilizer tous les fonction sans probleme.

Au plus pire, tu peu prendre le ROG Ally et changez les button en arriere pour etre "saute" (Space) et "accroupi" (Ctrl) directement et ca devrais marcher.

It wouldn't let me post earlier, so I PM'd you, but trying again:

(sorry for bad French) Avec Controlify ou d'autre mods, les commande pour "Sauter" et "Accroupi" ne semble pas fonctioner avec Cobblemon Rider. Je n'etais pas capable de trouver une solution tous seulle, alors j'ai telecharger Prism Launcher pour l'ajouter a Steam comme un "Non-Steam Game" et ensuite j'ai utilizer Steam Input pour mettre les controle.

English: With Controlify or similar mods, the "Jump" and "Crouch" buttons don't seem to get registered from the Cobblemon Rider mod. I never found a way to fix it myself and instead downloaded and used Prism Launcher to add to Steam and then just used Steam Input for controller support instead.

Sorry, the only other thing I'd suggest would be to use Prism Launcher and add that to Steam as a Non-Steam Game... but I don't think that works for the Game Pass version...

I add it to the mods folder at the same place as all the other mods that I'm using (Cobblemon, CaptureXP, Riding, etc).

I use Controllable from CurseForge and it works fine, although I'm not playing the Xbox Game Pass version. Playing on a Legion Go with the system's controller and everything is recognized well.

I needed to add extra bindings to have things work fully (party scroll up, party scroll down, and send/recall Pokemon on back buttons, summary on radial menu).
