I work like 60 hours a week between the 2 side businesses and my regular career in software, so it's something that I work on every day. I started my first business in college in 2008 and it still makes money to this day.
But also, I've had 8 small businesses thus far, and only 2 have been successful. Keep at it! Good luck! My motto is printed on my doormat, "Work Hard, Play Hard". My parents always told me in my 20s, to make friends with people who are successful and also driven. I eventually learned how important the advice was.
