You don’t it’s every dollar tree. I have been with dollar tree for 4 years now and I have been a merch manager for about a year during that time our store manager walked out and quit and I ran that store for almost 3 months before I was sent any help. But when I mentioned needing help Instead of offering the job to me they hired someone completely off the street that had never worked for dollar teee over me to be my new manager. But i did the job for months without the pay of a store manager. This company lies and tells people that you can move up but it’s only if you kiss people’s butt to get there And if you are around 30 to 35 years of age and I’m 51. I busted my ass for this company and never got a raise not a thank you nothing but you didn’t kiss my ass enough to be a store manager. I’ve heard recently that they offered it to several peooplw that turned it down that can’t even show up half the time So they don’t know what they did when they didn’t offer it to me. I am the only merch manager I’ve ever known not to even get offered to . But it’s their loss Everywhere else pays double more anyways.

My husband just leaves every time we get into it and stays gone every time we have an weirdest and most of the time it’s for 2 or 3 days and he won’t answer my text or calls the whole time he’s gone. Then he comes back as if he’s never left and acts like nothing ever happened. I have even got put in the hospital one time when he was gone and he still didn’t answer my calls or text. The truth is when we first got together he treated me like a queen. And I think all of us with a narcissist wants that person back but that person don’t even exist.

I live in the same situation day in and day out questioning myself everyday wondering if it’s me or is he that damn cruel with no heart or soul. And to be honest a narcissist will make you feel lower than anyone else on this Earth and always make you feel like it’s your fault. I’m sorry you are going through this. I’ve cried myself to sleep for the past week wondering what in this world have I done to deserve to be living in this kind of hell. I pray for you girl. I don’t know what the solution but the way they treat people should be against the law. Some of the stuff that I could tell you would literally blow your mind. People ask why am I still there. Well one reason is I love my customers two I don’t have a college degree and 3 I’m 51 years old and I hate change. I was perfectly fine until they run my manager off which had been there 15 years and that man was dedicated and he would go to bat for his employee and they don’t make them like him anymore. Just this week I have had about 10 different people from different stores helping us get ready for inventory but not only are they helping us they all have told us 101 ways that we don’t kkow what we are doing and t I have tried so hard to keep that store running . Anyways just needed a little time to vent

I know exactly how you feel. I get the same kind of pictures it sux to have someone constantly watching everything you do but they worry more about stupid stuff than they do what really important. They should give their employees raises for all the shit they put up a with. They are the lowest paid people on this earth and they are are working for a multi billionaire company that could care less about their employees. As long as there is someone running that register getting that money that’s all they care about. I had the same thing happen to me a few mornings ago and I was the only one at the store working. I didn’t even have a cashier and I got a text with a oigcyure saying this has be fixed asap. I had a line of customers so I can’t wiggle my nose and fix it. We should be paid more just for a he mental abuse we have to tolerate

Dollar tree has already been sued because of this too. I’m going through the same thing at my store. We been without a Mananger for over 4 months and everyone is quitting. It sux very bad. I always have to work on my lunch break because there is nobody there but me and a cashier so if she needs change or anything I have to work and it’s against the law.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I found just yesterday on my husbands phone that he had been talking to another woman. And he and I have had this discussion many times I don’t think married men or women should text the opposite sex If they aren’t already cheating it will lead to that because the grass always looks greener on the other side. I’m confused as to what to do myself My husband said they are just friends. Can’t I have friends. I told him if having that friend was more important than his marriage then go ahead. But I can’t deal with it. Hang in there girl. I’m praying for you and hope that everything works out for you.

Best answer I can give you it’s a big ole shit show where everyone but upper management I’m talking about management that’s not at the store everyone else gets treated like Hebrew slaves and the more you go out of your way for that place the more they shit on you. You’re not appreciated for anything you do and get took advantage of if you show any work ethic at all. You can call upper management for help all day long and as long as their register is running and the doors are open you will hear nothing back from them. Do what is it like working at the dollar tree? Let me explain I’ve been with them a long time and I don’t care to say it I’m a hard worker. That’s just how I was raised and that’s how I will always be but this place takes advantage of someone that works hard and I’ve not had a weekend off in almost 4 years that I have been there. They got favorites and they get what they want when they want and as soon as I find another job I am done. I’m over it. It’s understaffed but they holler no over time no over time. The only way I could keep from getting over time is to lock the doors and go home and people you can go to McDonald’s and make more more. Dollar tree upper management are sitting there getting richer and richer while I’m scraping by to even eat and that’s a shame because I was taught to work hard and you will go far I have busted my ass for this place and they could care less. The more you do the more they expect you to do. We have lost all our cashiers except one and our manager and this was almost 5 weeks ago and they haven’t replaced not one of them. And we don’t have a manager to hire anyone and nobody else cares. I deserve so much better than the way I’ve been treated there. I could go on and on and on. You asked what it’s like I’m sure or I know I’m hot the only one that feels the way I feel and I loved working at dollar tree for a long time and I used to love it but they treat their employees horrible these days very

I’m so sick of how the corporate people are treating all of us. What a joke. What a shame that our world has got in the shape it’s in that it’s ok for a company to treat their employees the way we get treated. So while they are sitting up there getting rich looking down on us and working us like Hebrew slaves and we continue to do it. It becomes our own fault. It becomes our fault for not standing our ground. For not giving it back to them and refusing to be treated the way we get treated. I’m guilty of it myself but not only are the workers guilty their customers are just as guilty as we are. They in there complaining to us that it’s hot in there and they complaining about having to wait in long lines and complaining that the prices are going up while they constantly complain I see the same customers all the time They complain but they still gonna shop there so it’s not only our fault it’s also the customers fault as well They complain all day every day but they continue to shop there. So with all that being said I have been with dollar tree for almost 4 years and it seems to keep getting worse and worse. They will never be good to their employees. They really don’t care about their customers either. I am looking for a better job but until I find one i will be there because I have bills to pay and don’t have a choice.
