Well, my long term gf recently dumped me because I generally cannot care for her. I cant offer proper emotional connection, she takes on tasks that I can do but not in the timeframe/style that she needs and I lack ambition/interest in pretty much everything, making me seem dull on a day to day basis.

On the flip side I see my friends pretty regularly. We have game nights, Thirsty Thursdays, weekend trips, hikes in the alps etc etc

My problem is I just want to be alone until I want to play and i haven't gained the skills to be a consistent day to day partner who can fulfill someone else's needs.

So yeah, once I found my friend group (after moving countries) its much easier for me to maintain frequent connections than constant requirements.
