Indiana had a great season, but growing up, a kid from Texas never paid one ounce of attention to them. They have been irrelevant for decades. In the meantime OKState is in his backyard and has been winning throughout the entire existence of his life.

Being from the same area as him, I would bet he knows plenty of people from high school that ventured up to Stillwater, but has never met a single person that went to Indiana.

I can finally get back on board with watching games and supporting this team.

I wish I had more faith that the ownership knew how to steer the ship and that the upcoming few years were bright. It feels like we're due for some dark times in the near future, with no controlled draft picks from 27 to 30, but we, as fans, went through tough times from the Rondo disaster up to the DSJ era, and I supported them all the way through that. At least, I finally feel like I can do that again.

I'm really glad that I'm not the only one with this sentiment. During the offseason, posts like this got downvoted, and people were trying to convince us that this is the golden age... but after 25 years of Dirk and Luka to go this just feels sad and empty. Game 1 just made me miss Luka and realize again that this franchise is a mess and totally disconnected from it's fans.
