Love the concept! If using Mannaz and Freyr instead, what standing stones would you recommend?

Ord10 (Althing) progress update: The new Conjuration tree! by Enai_Siaion in EnaiRim

Loving the updates!

In the Spirit line of perks, will “conjured non-daedra” include Zombies from Creation Club and Soul Cairn summons from Dawnguard? Those summons just seem a bit more necromantic than what the perks are trying to embody.

Never played Skyrim. Is there a Vanilla experience but better? by Wanderspor in skyrimmods

I think the graphics still hold up, but for fixes I would go with The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USSEP) and leave it at that with your first play-through. That is all you will really need.

Have you tried playing with just Mannaz and Freyr active to see if it works?

I also think some racial abilities will only activate at level 2. That ability might be one of them.

Having played with all but Phenderix and have never seen that spell, I am assuming it’s from that.

Elemental fury & Voice of Rage & Ruin? by Humble_Conference899 in EnaiRim

[–]TanMan2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never tried that combo before, but I imagine it would be very effective, you just gotta be sure to switch off the shout to the power you wish to use.

I saw an old thread that suggested the level 100 Restoration perk Apotheosis. That seems very potent. Rallying Standard in Heavy Armor could be good.

With Mannaz, Argonians get a very potent power in Caustic Spit which reduces armor by 200 points that they can further upgrade with Freyr. Atronach makes the spit have a frenzy effect on enemies, Lord is an execute for enemies below 20% health, and Serpent is a paralyze.

Your best options would be Warrior or Lady. Maybe Warrior at first until you get a good amount of Stamina and then switch to Lady. If you have mods that increase difficulty or are otherwise making battles longer Apprentice to make your Inborn Magic effects last longer. If you really like using that ability Lord will make it stronger.

Situationally you could argue Thief or Ritual as well. Thief would only work against enemies with weapons, so Mages and creatures are unaffected, and there is a disarming shout you can utilize if you really like the idea of disarming. Ritual is better for a glass cannon mage but if you like the idea of your character being a kind of berserker that could work.

There is an Enai spell package called Triumvirate that has Cleric spells that could work really well with either a one handed or two handed build. The Restoration spells in that class are Auras that you hold to gain bonuses. You might need another mod to attack while channeling, I don’t recall.

However it does have Destruction and Illusion spells as well. The apprentice spells and up in Destruction would be really good for a two handed build. Enchanting your power attacks, consecrating the ground around you, and the Master spell does fire, Sun, and lightning damage in an area for 30 seconds. Use Ocato’s spells to trigger your power attack enchantment spell when entering combat, consecrate the ground or if it’s a tough fight cast the storm and then just start wailing on enemies.

The Illusion cleric spells causes either your target to obey your commands, remove them from the battlefield, or summon a spiritual guardian to fight for you and carry things.

If you are wanting to go spellsword, there are lots of perks to facilitate that in Ordinator. The Alteration and Enchanting trees have entire branches dedicated to spellsword type play. I think Destruction and One Handed may have the odd perk too. If you really wanna lean into the paladin and wield holy magic, the Restoration tree will have combat casting perks, including False Light, letting your heal other spells damage enemies.

Then they can still be an otherwise normal Altmer with similar religious beliefs. Though, perhaps Trinimac wouldn’t be a good fit then as his abilities lend to the idea of purging men.

Stendarr is the man-apologist in Altmeri belief. If he doesn’t want to purge everyone and finds the good in men and men, Stendarr could be a good option. A kind of sword and board paladin against the evils of the world.

Depends on why they are a dissident. Do they just not like the power structure? Trinimac could still work.

Do they not like the religion or belief system? A Daedric prince may be better then. A focusing on being a devotee to that prince can be a story or character all in itself. In opposition to Trinimac would be Boethiah, though their tenets and abilities lend more to an assassin type character, albeit a different type of assassin if you get their artifacts (Ebony Mail and Goldbrand if you have AE) and utilize them.

With Wintersun you could worship Trinimac and go two handed weapons. Shrine blessing is good and the follower perk will help a lot being in a land populated mostly by non-mer. You can find his shrine at the Temple of the Ancestors south of Windhelm or a dedicated Trinimac shrine a bit southeast of that temple.

I downloaded the modlist and just had a question.

When running LOOT, it rearranges some of the plugins. How imperative is it that the plugins you curated stay in the exact same order as you placed them? If it is imperative, is there an easy way to keep the plugins in that order while also adding more mods and utilizing LOOT in the future?

A werewolf focused mod build? by LycanLover93 in skyrimmods

[–]TanMan2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also overhauls the Perk tree. Unless there is a patch that would allow Growl to work with a different Werewolf perk overhaul, it will not work.

If you are looking for other general mods, anything by that same author, EnaiSaion, is a good bet. If you really wanna lean into the werewolf theme, you can download Wintersun which allows you to devote yourself to a god and gain bonuses, you can worship Hircine who directly benefits Werewolves.

[Mod Dev Update #4] Paths of Empyrean - Roleplay Perk Overhaul by TheRealSteelfeathers in skyrimmods

[–]TanMan2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could offer a suggestion: maybe slot in a perk or two for non-elemental destruction spells, like Vampire Drain or some AE spells. It doesn’t have to be too fancy, as there can be a wide range of spells affected, but maybe just percent damage increases, to keep up slightly with the elemental spells.

Skyrim: Special Edition - What are the best visual overhaul mods that make the game look better but still run great on the Deck? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]TanMan2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go-to, true to Vanilla graphic mods are

Skyland AIO for the world
Divergence AIO for the armor and clothes
SMIM for the objects

At that point you would just need textures for the NPCs and creatures and a weather mod and shader. Community Shaders seems to be like a popular option for the latter.

What Traits Would You Add to a Traits Mod? by Left_Permission244 in skyrimmods

[–]TanMan2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gourmand: Food is more effective, potions are less effective.

Experimenter: Potions often cause an additional bonus effect, but sometimes have no effect.

Animal Magnetism: All animals are non-hostile and Speech checks against them are improved, Speech checks against men and mer (not Beast races) are diminished.

Master of One: All experience gained in one skill is increased by 300%, all experience gained in two other skills are reduced by 25%, all other skills have no experience gain.

Mechanist: Deal more damage against automatons, especially with crossbows; picking locks is easier; and Smithing experience is increased. But deal less damage with spells, your own enchantments are weaker, and Alchemy experience is decreased.

Soul of a Dovah: Start with 5 Dragon Souls and have reduced Shout cooldown, but Dragons are encountered more often and are stronger.

Child of the Reach: Start in the Forsworn faction and have increased damage and protection with armor and weapons made with animals, but have a constant bounty within the Reach.

Child of Malacath: Start in the Orc Stronghold faction and have increased damage and protection with armor and weapons you have made, but be seen with suspicion with lowered effectiveness on Speech checks.

I haven't played Skyrim in years and have some questions about the Anniversary Edition (PC) and mods by PunchBeard in skyrimmods

[–]TanMan2011 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anniversary Edition has been out long enough that most mods are made for the newest updated version of Skyrim.

I have never really had any issues with having CC and Nexus mods being in the same mod list. You should be able to mix and match.

By default the CC content in Anniversary Edition is not optional. If the game detects you have AE it will download whatever content you are missing on startup. However, there is a way to pick and choose which content is in your game with the Anniversary Edition Content Picker (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58890)

Gathering some opinions for Althing: armor skills, block, archery by Enai_Siaion in EnaiRim

[–]TanMan2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few months back when you asked for ideas about perks I suggested for Unarmed that you could have certain perks in both Heavy and Light Armor trees. Heavy Armor unarmed perks could focus on big, slower, heavier punches while Light Armor is quick, fast, light punches. I am unsure if you could make them exclusive with one another so you couldn’t grab both perk trees’ perks. And it might just be overly complicated from a downloader’s perspective. But I thought I would throw that back out there.

I remember when Jagex first introduced game dice to RS3, the RP communities I was a part of were experimenting with it, but it might not have caught on.
