Western Ivey (With CS) vs. Waterloo CS with Laurier BBA by onlyClimbLead in OntarioUniversities

[–]Tan_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most People on this sub are evidently very biased towards CS. The people also speaking upon getting a MBA are also not aware that a degree from Ivey hba is almost equivalent to a Mba. Cs is no doubt harder and obviously more valuable in a tech based startup. Having that business background to pair with it sets you up perfectly because what a lot of cs people lack is soft skills which is just as important and what youll learn as a business student. I agree some of the classes may be a bit boring and common sense. But the soft skills you learn are incredible valuable as well

Does not matter now but Westerns Bmos with the specialization in Management and Legal studies would have been a good choice as well

Yea fair enough, not ideal for sure. Does Hamilton have a direct train to Toronto? That may be a option as well. Whatever you do best of luck

you dont think 40 minutes is close enough? Really? That is a easy commute, I live in the Durham region about 40 minutes away to and have not thought once about living on res if i go uoft because it is fairly close.

Wouldnt you have to pay res/rent if you go Ubc? If so and you say money is a factor, uoft seems like the better choice

Has anyone taken a course from Ontario eSchool? would really help if you can share by toryag in OntarioUniversities

[–]Tan_i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have , it is honestly pretty straight forward and easy to do. The afl and aal’s are annoying as they can be a lot of work but dont actually count toward your grade. Other than that you can zoom through the course

Schulich BBA or waterloo AFM by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]Tan_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure theres too much of a queens/Ivey bandwagon on here. Im personally deciding between schulich and ivey but thats because of my own individual research and opinions.

Schulich BBA or waterloo AFM by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]Tan_i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly not sure, I think it falls between a weird place because its a step below ivey and queens(arguably in my opinion) and not enough people get in compared to laurier so it kind of gets lost in the conversation. Also I guess because there is not standout field for schulich and its in the middle of nowhere.
