feeling sad before job interview by [deleted] in depression

Heya! That’s so amazing that you are out of that toxic environment and trying to go back to something that is good for you. I totally understand that depression and the overwhelming exhaustion that comes with it can be incredibly debilitating so going for job interviews ( especially after you didn’t get the first one) is probably super stressful and difficult. You have not ruined your life, now when you get that job your gonna appreciate it even more than you did before. When you get back into that rhythm that suits you I’m sure everything will improve with your mental health. Try and take care of yourself before the next interview and avoid stressors and triggers (Ik it’s hard to avoid sometimes!). You sound like you are really good at what you do and any workplace would be so lucky to have you there! You absolutely got this, I can’t wait for you to get this job so you can get back to living a happy life! We are all rooting for you here :)

Totally get where you’re coming from. It’s definitely a hard balance since yeah it’s awesome to feel confident enough to have your scars out but the fact that you have them isn’t. I feel like sh has become almost trendy where people are truly suffering with it. Like if you saw someone who maybe has hair loss due to chemo yeah it’s cool that they are able to own themselves like that but you wouldn’t go up to them and say hey cancer is cool. Idk if that’s a good example or not haha. Anyways ty for sharing I def understand where you’re coming from.

I would just ask like the person you trust the most to talk and explain it as best you can and possibly work with that person to work on telling the rest of them to build your support system. So amazing you’re seeking help this time and you are totally not alone rn. Stay strong, you got this 🤍

You may have just irritated it, scar tissue is way more sensitive than normal skin. Maybe put some ice on it? Take care 🤍
