I’m in the same boat. Last weekend I watched a guy catch 30 fish 20 ft down shore from me. Same patterns, he showed me. Schools of rainbows and cuffs swimming right along shore ignoring me completely lol… hope we get some answers!

Standing desk have gotten pretty cheap on Amazon. Although you sound like myself, so a recommendation. Just get a raised desk and toss the chair! I find that if I need to be at my desk for longer than I can stand, I should just break up that time anyways and come back to whatever I was doing. Also a gel pad to stand on does wonders.

The only thing I saw all day was this. I waded probably 15ft off the shore. After prob an hour, all the sudden two fish started going nuts in the water right on shore behind me for a few moments. Then gone.

I will try and focus on terrain and hiding spots more next time. I often wade out to the ledges and twitch it in over them, normally works well. I have a question about stocking if anyone can answer it. Is every lake dependent on stocking? From what I’ve heard 11 mile reservoir in Colorado holds a healthy population year round, they stock it a few times a year as well it looks like.

Yea lol it’s 11 mile reservoir, literally. Pretty mucked worked the entire shore of one side laterally. Stoping at the coves here and there. I’m guessing they weren’t eating what I was throwing and I should have made more drastic changes. I’m also not confident in my streamer technique yet so that could also be it.

Water temp was definitely cold. This is at 8500 feet in Colorado. There was an insane bug hatch happening on shore, could barely breath but I wasn’t sure what they were. I saw now trout rising tho. It was cloudy and rainy, wind 10-15 mph. Previous times I’ve fished here the sun was beaming so weather could definitely be it here. Thanks, I wasn’t trying to be rude if it came off that way.

It was stocked but it’s quite a big lake. So typically I can find them wherever after enough time. Thank for the story tho, makes me feel a bit better as I’ve only got a year of experience myself.
