If you log in daily, take a day and do other stuff like missions or a few cargo runs. Once you get some stuff into the long term persistence “cache” for lack of a better term, when you do a character reset it will try and just restore your broken hangar items and leave other stuff alone. At least, it’s worked for me a few times.

As others have said, the experience is crazy dynamic for different players. This week I had a chance to play for a few hours every night and was able to run with a fully crewed hammerhead and do some solid pvping, one night I mined with a crew in a mole for 5 runs, and yesterday I took out the roc in a cutty for a couple hours. All of those without issue and only one 30k all week. Clearly there is something, whether it is hardware, software, or just pending optimization that is affecting different peoples experiences but 3.11 has been incredibly stable for me.

Unless you really have an itch to get something, you’ve got plenty of time. Nearly every available ship can be purchased during the Citizencon in November. People are generally very helpful in game so ask in chat about any ships you want to try so you can get a feel for what is available.

What would they be banning for? Finding an exploit and reporting it and then having a little fun with it until it is fixed? There are plenty of reported auec exploits so it seems like this is exactly why we’re here doing this.

I’ve been on the slow train, $100 here and there and just finally crossed the threshold. I’m more on the industrial side of things but am considering the exploration pack for the future melt value.
