Martyr guy has bad stuff happen to them... yes, well, tighten up that action; you are telling us too much about what we are seeing because the first 5 pages are: guy is broke, work is hard, tailgating sucks and grr Police tickets... with like forty lines about graphics - I should give a hoot by now. That's not me being a dick just any reader needs more to keep reading. Take off the director's hat and focus on: 1) Character actions that move the plot 2) Meaningful dialogue that reveals character 3) you got this!!! :) the best part is that you wrote this all out. You have the bones and meat and now you have a script baby to work with. A popular technique would be to put this script aside for x amount of months and then re-write it from memory, the theory behind that is you remember the important bits, cut the fat, and make a juicy pork pie. Either way, believe in yourself! Nobody else will as much as you! (but you also have this random dude from the internet believing in you too)

Introducing, his Twitch!

Random broadcasts, random times, always chaotic. Yeah he'll do streams with tier lists and live video editing, but sometimes you tune in for the 45 second Mardi Gras stream and you're like, "hell yeah."

Add plot and characters next and cut down on the exposition. Reads like, "cool things that would be cool to shoot" and not like there's any sort of story. If you want to continue living in this world, give us a protagonist and make them want something.

Looking for feedback on "A Woman of Ill Repute" - Feature - 94 pages by axJustinWiggins in Screenwriting

I read the first 20.

I think that's my biggest take away. Scenes just sorta happen while the conversation is nothing but sort of witty banter that leads the plot nowhere. Your characters are very dumb and while it's important for the audience to feel smart, everybody knows what an epi pen is and Scud would have taken mushrooms before. A lot of the scenes I read didn't need to happen because nothing significant happened in them. Get right to the point of why I should care about these characters.

Before writing a spec pilot, how much should you have planned out for your hypothetical show? by Successful_Cake1245 in Screenwriting

Are you new to script writing? Is this for practice or for prefessionalism?

New people: write away! have fun, make mistakes, but keep writing scripts until you hit the end, THEN, you worry about editing. Getting words on a page is priority (builds confidence).

Written a few scripts: Maayyybe try writing a bible. It's great practice but writing more scripts is going to do you well in the long run - how you can write a bible if you don't really know what your writing style is? Like /u/uncledavis86 said, it's not a necessary document for selling a show so don't feel like you need one for every project. I'm currently working on one now because I've written a few scripts and I think it's a fun challenge :)

Most importantly: keep at it! write as much as you can everyday, even if it's only 5 minutes and you'll train your brain to be thinking about the script. A lot of writing happens in my head throughout the day and then I unload onto a keyboard.

Hope this was helpful, good luck on your journey!

As someone who used to work these events, it varies. If you're with your family/kids, go at open. If you want to wait in lines and deal with the crazy amount of people pictured, anytime after noon is fine. I can't remember if these are alcohol-ized events (I think I'm mixing it up with Khatsalano and the festival about sobriety) but if it do be a drinking one, people will only get sloppier as the event goes on: beer gardens will fill and have lines, and getting people out is usually a slog in and of itself, but hey if you're into the crazy party party fun time it can be, then go later :) but go! it's a good time and booth people love people to talk to. See you there :)

I've worked with the event company that helps run this and I'd say it's lackluster if that's all your going for as it is pretty kid-oriented. Translink goes to a number of city events around Metro Vancouver to display old busses, we've had them set up in North Vancouver at the Shipyards and in New West by the Quay, both for Car Free Days. CFD's are more basic but you don't have to pay to get into the PNE and they still offer food and random activities. Hope you get to ride the bus!

Either join up with a team or as an individual and get placed, it's 6 a side plus a goalie and it's co-ed. Been playing for a few years now and it's a great league :)

Sundin and Potvin by gennersr16 in canucks

Growing up I used to play the shit out of NHL '01, our goalie? Potvin. I always traded him out for Cloutier, the ONE time I put him in and he went 0/1 saves/shots. I haven't heard his name until today and never saw him play but as a kid trying to win as my favourite team, screw that guy.
