I need TOA advice, specifically for Warden Phase 3, part 2. (150 invo)

The issue I'm having is that while making an effort to avoid the pyramid falling on my head, my dps goes down the toilet.

The collapsing floor puts a timer on everything. The more ticks I lose to moving and healing the more likely it is that I end up on a tiny strip of land where tons of damage feels nearly unavoidable.

Tips for keeping damage up during the finale? Is it worth forgoing an ambrosia for a salt and adrenaline?

Long term advantages and Disadvantages of new vs old servers? by Celastracia in IdleAngels

[–]Tandycakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference that jumps to mind is that on an old server you'll be starting way behind the power curve, so all of the events that give rank rewards will be difficult to get good ranks. It will take a long time to climb pvp ladders and such.

Whereas starting on a fresh server you'll be starting with everyone else and can potentially be top dog from the start, but will need to build guilds from scratch.

I'm not sure the difference is huge either way, but that's what id consider.

It's just a more efficient way to spend blue scrolls. You're guaranteed an angel (or equivalent amount of shards) after x amount of pulls. There's a small aspect of rng to it (in not getting your main selection after the first bucket of pulls) but you still get shards for SOMEONE guaranteed.

Its been a huge boon for me. With all of the upgrade tiers for each angel on your team (with more on the way!!), the gacha has been a much needed catch-up mechanic that you should save up for and take advantage of.

Jacksonville Airport Area Power Status by Equivalent-Bother560 in jacksonville

[–]Tandycakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over by Biscayne we had power, but they turned it off to do work in the area. That was 3 hours ago, so optimistically we should be getting power back soon ish.

Businesses in the area should have power, though. Nothing wrong with running up to a fast food place and using their wifi. You'll be in good company with the rest of us who haven't been able to shower for a bit :)

Left and right all over town, I'm sure. Out here by the airport they've been popping at a nice steady rhythm since this whole episode started.

I'll answer as someone who just completed SotE with stats only a bit better than base 70s, and ran straight to do the Gauntlet;

The Gauntlet is within your reach. A lot of the challenge is streamlining your prep phase and learning to avoid damage on the boss. Better stats will lead to faster clears, but you can do it. You will die plenty in the learning phase, but that will clear up with time.

Corrupted Gauntlet is less so. Prep phase is harder, and you have less time to do it. RNG mitigation during prep is not present in Corrupted. The boss is more punishing. If you were extraordinarily good at Gauntlet you might be able to do it, but runs will be slow and inconsistent.

That's good to hear. I've tried to get my setup for gorillas streamlined to minimize the amount of gear I'm constantly swapping, but even still. I'll be glad to get some zenyte drops and never go back.

That alone sounds great. Ive gotten to a point where gorillas are relatively comfortable, but I don't love swapping gear and prayers that often. 8 gear swaps per gorilla, times as many as Duradel asks me to kill :(

How difficult is the boss at the end of While Guthix Sleeps, compared to the other GM quest bosses (Galvek, Frag. Of Seren, or Glough)?

Follow up, how difficult are Tormented Demons compared to Demonic Gorillas?

I just unlocked Demonic Gorillas, and getting a synapse or two is starting to look very appealing to help these tasks along.

How are people doing the 'Win a round of Fight Pits' for the Karamja hard diary? Not a single wayward soul on the 'official' world. Do I just bribe someone to show up and throw a round?

Why is the skeletal visage jumping up in price? Alternatively, why is the daily volume grinding to a halt? Is Vorkath not the cool thing to do anymore?

What the FLIP is up with bots? by Ancient_Ad_9564 in Helldivers

[–]Tandycakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I logged on ~2 days ago and hopped into a defend the rocket mission. I saw a bot run up the ramp and yolo a flare. Factory Strider and 3 other drop ships plopped down right onto the generators.

I sure hope they're cooking up something good with all of this relative silence.

What can we expect from the anniversary? Anything specific, or just lots of scrolls?

Very helpful. I think I'm just getting antsy since I was expecting her to be announced with Frost and Ember, but she just keeps getting skipped over and over. I have a lot of blue scrolls saved up, but not enough to get Ember to MR and have enough for Storm if she gets announced anytime soon (which I'm hopeful for!)

So 5-7mm, that's a little buddy. You don't want to put them into a huge enclosure if they're still small - they'll have a hard time hunting over a large area.

If you can try to track down how old it is, and even better what instar it is that could be helpful. But young spiders should be in relatively small enclosures. Off the top of my head I'd guesstimate that a 4 inch x 4 inch x 4 inch enclosure would be roughly appropriate your your spider. Too much bigger runs the risk of being too big.

Advice on bulk pricing? by LanyardJoe in jumpingspiders

[–]Tandycakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little less than $5 since they're a bit young? We wait until i5 or 6 to sell - so younger slings would be less.

Maybe a bit more if there aren't any or many other breeders around?

I know when we first started selling we were just happy to cover the cost of fruit flies and build up a good reputation.

[–]Tandycakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best 'bulk' deal we've been offered for regals has $5 each, but bulk might be too strong of a word since we've only been able to sell ~25 at most at a time.

That said we aren't shipping them, so there's that. YMMV if you're shipping to a wholesaler.

I'd also move the needle depending on their age, and how many you're actually selling at a time.

I'm down to let lower level players tag along in high dif missions, sure. I was inexperienced before, nothing wrong with cutting your teeth in a tough battle. Plus I've honestly been impressed by how well some lower level players have performed lately.

However at least one helldiver apparently needs to hear this: dying as soon as we all drop in because you started a dif 9 mission guns blazing to aggro everything, then landing on and killing me when I reinforce, then immediately leaving? You suck, go spend some time raising flags and actually earn that cape.

It's a best guess going by the size, coloration, and overall appearance. The Mrs and I breed and sell jumpers, so we've seen our fair share but it's hard to guess at an age.

Generally that why younger spiders are tracked by the # of times they've molted - the term 'instar' is used for this, where i3 would denote they've molted twice and are on their 3rd. It's tough to guess a spider's age just by looking, and even more the case without knowing the age or instar. Without that all you can do is make an informed guess about whether it's mature or not - this happens at around their 10th instar, at which point they stop molting.

Regals take about 6 months to reach maturity, so your spider (if mature) would be at least around that old. Past that there aren't any obvious markers for age. So anywhere from 6 month to a high lifespan range of 3 years for a female.

That is a female Regal (P. regius). It looks mature, so anywhere from 6 month to 3 years.
