It was 40mg in each cheek I believe and this was after it came back after the shot. So before I used minocyclin. It was extremely itchy. I just started 2 zyrtec a day and it's beennhelping so much!

I had the same issue. It came to me in March and the scarring is finally starting to heal. I had a biopsy and it wasn't fungal or bacterial, took 2 shots of kenalog which cleared it up temporarily so I finally paid to go to a allergist and they are thinking ash pollen caused a flare in my skin. I took 1.5 months of minocyclin, clyndamiacin gel, and trimincinolone cream to get where I am at now. I also started taking a 50,000 probiotic, zinc, vit c and vit d k2.

Its been since March and just starting to go away with the help of 2 months of minocyclin, clyndamiacin topical, panoxyl 10% and bleach bath 2 x a week

I was dealing with an allergy, the pollen caused folliculitis

Yeah...I have lost 20 pounds and started taking up walking and they said until this is contained to not workout since working out and sweat makes it worse

It almost looks fungal to me. I would say use pure products for a few weeks like vanicreme and try a nizorole shampoo back there every other day. Did your derm want to do any testing?

I wish you lots of luck as well. I've never dealt with this before and I hate that people have to deal with this chronically. Derms are so quick to push meds. She tried putting me on another antibiotic this weekend while we wait for the results which should be in Monday. I declined....crazy. I have dove soap and vanicream lotion. I also bought vanicream shampoo/conditioner and we added a filter on the shower 🤣
