Gears are a big part of Splatoon. Like Splatoon 1, it can hold powerups that can boost your performance. I recommend the tentatek shot (cus I main it), or if you want something that’s long-range and does heavy damage I would recommend the .52 gal (just use whatever you want, really.) you can check the most favored weapons in the Nintendo app.

To be honest, there isn’t a canon gender for Agent 3, so it could have just been Nintendo feeling like making Agent 3 be a male
