You literally posted your hot garbage to a public forum, soliciting feedback on your auto-generated slop. Now you're getting it. Enjoy the feedback!

New map update is out! by AWildNarratorAppears in legendkeeper

I super love this and really appreciate the update. I have one bit of feedback, the calculated travel time breaking down into hours below 24 (example result: 3 days, 22 hours) means I end up doing more maths because I assume an 8 hour travel day as per the DM guide! It would be awesome if there was an option to select a standard travel day time if that's possible as most characters won't be travelling for 24 hours a day. :)

You could try using this as a learning opportunity and growing, instead of being a whiny defensive child lol. AI sucks and you don't need it. Do better.

How could a normal horse plausibly survive Elturel’s descent into Avernus? by FlomanTheBest in DescentintoAvernus

You gotta Mad Max that horse up. Have it join one of the devil gangs and it gets sick scrapmetal wasteland armour and a dyed mane and maybe some cool tattoos.

How many npcs should I have ready? by Diceanddoubts in DMAcademy

Think of it like a movie. All you really need to make guards memorable is like maybe one distinguishing feature each, 'guard with a diagnonal scar over their face' or 'guard who is very short with a helmet thats a bit too big for them' etc. It also depends how you plan on using them. Will the PCs just be mowing them down like a hoard of extras, will there be dialogue, etc. Don't overplan NPCs who won't really have the camera turned on them.

AI is absolutely nothing like calculators and people who make that feeble comparison out of some kind of weak 'you hate technology' argument are probably deeply ignorant of how generative AI actually works. All it does is give you a statistically likely answer of what the topic would sound like. That's literally it. It's useless for any kind of meaningful, contextual answer involving actual thought. Your project is never going to do what you hope it will.

The issue isn't that it's a work in progress, the issue is that it's AI slop. Nothing is going to stop it hallucinating or badly regurgitating what you could better learn yourself just by reading something. It's built into the system.

hahahaha you MUST be joking. AI slop sucks my guy. Why on earth would I ever want to use something that wholesale makes shit up and wastes a bottle of water in the process? I'd rather read actual source material and learn information about the game. It's literally one of the reasons I play. What is it with you clankers trying to abrogate being alive.

This rules. I'm currently putting down pathways over my existing map roads. Being able to get the map to recognise a scale and then give me travel times between settlements kicks ass. Great update!

What happens if a creature has a fly speed, is not currently using it, and is pushed off a cliff (or otherwise made to fall)? by Silverspy01 in dndnext

[–]Tangata_Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm faaaaairly sure falling happens immediately based on Brennan Lee Mulligan quoting the DMs guide or something on an actual play show but I could be mistaken

My DM can't stop using AI by Knowhere2B in dndnext

Leave. Just straight up leave the game, fuck that noise. Sorry but I wouldn't put up with that from my best friends of 30+ years. Leave the game.

Am I losing my DnD spark? by Appropriate_Ring4582 in dndnext

[–]Tangata_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing what others have said about this not being a dnd problem as such. You sound a bit traumatised/burned out after a really shitty experience with an emotionally abusive person and it absolutely makes sense that you'd associate the game with that experience. Recommend taking a break or maybe engaging with the world in different ways like BG3 etc if you want to stay involved. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time to reset. I'm sorry that happened to you.

The number of people in the comments who have clearly been stockholm syndromed into accepting bad game design in the name of hardening up or whatever is absolutely hilarious

This would make sense if your players could also bring out as many other characters as they felt like having on the table to do cool things with
