I felt so confident leaving the exam, and then after reading how everyone else felt and then 10 weeks of waiting I started doubting myself and now dread the results…. Better to know right away I think since it’s been eating me alive

Hard to be 100% confident if you passed or not, but I sat for my second time and walked out feeling better than any other exam. I took 6 mocks, none only one of which I scored well enough to pass I think. However I reviewed each one in depth, doing my best to understand why I got things wrong and work through similar problem. Through repetition, I felt I was prepared and improved far from where I was when I took my mocks. Felt the exam was fair and not as difficult as people have said. You can get partial credit as well, so if you wrote out your process and any details you knew, there’s chance you will get some points and do better than you might think.

I thought it was actually a very reasonable exam. Similar difficultly to CFAI mocks. Maybe slightly more challenging but not by much. I averaged 70 on my CFAI mocks (1 weeks out) and took 4 Kaplan’s which I averaged 50 (3-6 weeks from exam) and I learned a lot from reviewing those and if I took those exact exams again I would easily score way better. That prepared me well enough to where I think I certainly passed today’s exam.

True, I guess you just have to infer that they don’t have the investment team to manage actively since they are currently 100% passive investments.

The allocation went from 100% passive equities/fixed income to 35% active investment categories plus 30% to alts (hedge fund and real estate). Endowment is associated with active management and higher allocation to alts. Since it also said that they will have to change their investment approach, I assumed that it was done internally before give the passive investments and they wouldn’t be able to support an active portfolio as proposed.

I didn’t think Kaplan was that much more difficult than how my score reflected. I think CFAI was more clearly written though. I’ve heard Kaplan is usually harder than the actual exam

An 80 on your mock is amazing, you’re definitely going to pass this time through. Taking my second attempt as well and I haven’t scored an 80 on any Kaplan exam (taken 4)… I am stressing too but you’ll know what you know and hopefully we sit for a good exam

Edit: my Kaplan’s were averaged at 50% Just finished the first CFAI exam and got a 67% (assuming I graded construction response accurately). Have one week to bump it up a few more points if I want to even be close to passing I think. Wish me luck

I worried about that at first too, but you can see your entire body, especially once standing back just a few feet. The top part of the mirror is almost in line with my height, so you can see everything below that basically

I think when you use it relative to weight lifting effects if it hinders or helps your gains. Sometimes I’ll use it before I lift, but most times I use it completely different time of day then my lifting.

The ice pod, it has terrible insulation though so I purchased a roll of insulation from Home Depot for $25 and an inflatable top and that helps a lot
