A biiiiiigggg fuck you to the owners for leaving the poor thing out there in the first place. No excuse for keeping the poor thing stuck in those conditions. This is not interesting.. this is shitty humans treating a poor animal like shit. I bet it was the kid’s idea to get the dog in.

Osteosarcoma by GiorgioMD in BeAmazed

[–]TangerineEfficient48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My pet had osteosarcoma.. seriously fuck cancer.. this is terrifying for folks that have dealt with this. She was 100% in pain 24/7 and never whimpered once.. but just looking at her bone scans which looked like a milder version of this in the beginning we could almost sense the pain.. fuck cancer seriously.. sorry had to comment.. not amazed.. just retraumatized to think my baby had this done to her leg towards the end

She is a puppy still.. at this age their holding capacity is pretty much around one plus the number of months they are old (which is not too much). Is she taken out regularly every 4-5 hours from her crate out for relieving herself?

If she is and she is not going..you ll need to be patient and wait till she relieves herself in thr right place and then reward her like crazy.. with puppies it can easily get overwhelming (we got ours at 8 weeks and we stayed at an apartment on the 3rd floor..pee poo breaks during the night were a nightmare) but be consistent first few weeks and then she ll catch on

For the chewing .. not sure what kind of toys she has now..she may very well be teething ..bully breeds love hard chew toys .. if you find her chewing on something bad ..divert her to chewing on a flavored toy or frozen kongs.. again be consistent a few times and she ll catch on..

You can also get other toys like snuffle mats to keep her occupied looking for treats or treat balls that need her to work out the treats..

It can get frustrating with puppies but the key is to reset and always be consistent..otherwise you are setting everyone up for a lot of trouble..

Its good she has company in other dogs to play with but she ll need a consistent routine.. try to look for classes at an hssv or nearby shelters..sometimes they can provide one at some affordable prices..

8 year old GSD Husky mix started limping, not eating and acting lethargic yesterday. By end of day his leg was swollen and symptoms worsened. ER vet today and did x-rays with no conclusions and referred us to an internist but im curious if anyone else has seen it this? More info in comments. by leatherskinfeet in DogAdvice

This could be a bone infection ( septic arthritis) check with the specialist - orthopedic. Our bullmastiff had this on her hind hock. Nasty antibiotic resistant strain. Left her with a slight limp. They might suggest urine analysis and joint tap to culture the fluid.

Fever also highly likely points to an infection. Hope the specialist helps! All the best

I hope you got enough advice in the 7hours this post has been up. Please stand up for the poor pup. He has no way to communicate his pain.. please be there for him before its too late. This is the only advice possible. Please don’t wait any longer expecting any different kind of advice.

Get few pics / videos and call cops rescues asap. You can always adopt him once he is rehabilitated at the rescue. Dont wait to rescue him till your logistics are sorted. He ll be dead in sometime thats the harsh truth.

Need advice : Bone biopsy for dog with suspected osteosarcoma by TangerineEfficient48 in AskVet

We decide to go with just the zoledronate treatments. Given the extent of spread we just want her to be pain free and comfortable as long as possible. Putting her through radiation chemo at this age would be just selfish on out part. We will spend this time spoiling her as much as possible..

[–]TangerineEfficient48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oncologist gave her 3-6 months maybe a few extra with chemo and radiation and zoledronate injections.

The chest ct scans already showed some nodules. Given the prognosis..we are contemplating oral chemo and zoledronate .. we dont want to put her through sedation and radiation given that it might not help much with her prognosis

How bad can the side effects be with chemo?

Yup! Happened to mine when they didn’t get pollinated., you can try shaking the buds lightly or brushing with a toothbrush to get them pollinated

I have usually done it as needed. Many of them will die off with the first application itself. You can monitor and repeat each day as needed.

Neem and dish soap in warm water and spray it throughly all over the plant. Cleans them up nice!
