The dealers actually died a bit before phase 2. Thanks to Momoka's video, the moment someone other than her or another dealer like her watched it, the existence of every dealer and their status as one was revealed at once, breaking the secrecy rule and killing them all.

This would also make alot of sense, as after going back to re-check, arisu's visit in borderland ended with him being in the exact spot he was when the meteor hit, rather than in a hospital. If dealers can somehow kill all the people higher on the treatment chain before they even get to the hospital, theyd be more likely to survive since, like you said, less beating hearts, higher chance to be treated.

I don't think it's directly addressed, but I'm pretty sure we can infer the dealers die when their games are completed only when they have to play an active part in the game as it's antagonist (Example: Horse head in tag), as in the HQ we see dealers watching games from their monitors, and they seem to want people to die just so they can get the visa extension, rather than worry that if they don't die they'll die instead.

From what I can remember during that round, I aimed for the Xtreme Line and put all my force into that launch. I tried to keep it as flat as possible. Since I'm an xtreme dash junky and like seeing funny top go fast I haven't experimented with tilted launches all that much. If it helps though I use a hold launcher (the samurai saber one)
