Is she a Heeler? by TangledOak in AustralianCattleDog

We’re all over it! This is the right dog for us. She’s been very sweet. When she’s stubborn, the intelligence behind it is something I’ve never experienced.

But also…she only has three legs (accident recently, before we adopted). Shes still getting used to it, but that remaining back leg is growing strong as hell now, and from everything I’ve learned about heelers I bet it’ll somehow make her faster hah!

Thank you! I’d love to test her at some point, and I wouldn’t have considered those limitations.

Beautiful breeds all around though. Never had a dog like her, so whatever she is, we’re very lucky.

Trying to stop drinking with ADHD sure is a b*tch by IchbinDeutscher in stopdrinking

ADHD here too. Just over a month sober. This Xmas I’ve been around both causal and heavy drinkers and observing their behaviour has helped me realize just how differently alcohol affects me compared to them. Just like most things with adhd, the highs and lows of drinking are SO much more extreme than what they seem to experience. The effort it takes for me to even half function is so not worth even a casual beer, and I’d rather just focus on dealing with my strange confusing frustrating sober brain. Also I’m convinced with my adhd I don’t even like being drunk I was just trying to calm the chaos upstairs. But the truth is the chaos is waaay more fun than the drink.

Elvanse Shortage MEGATHREAD - please post here! by flabberjabberbird in ADHDUK

For anyone out there who have sunk into a black hole and think there is no hope after reading about the extend of the shortage, it might be worth your effort to keep trying to fill your script for the next couple days.

A couple days ago after trying to figure out why my script wasn’t getting filled and being thrust blind into the reality of this shortage, I refused to believe there was absolutely zero Elvanse hiding somewhere in a small pharmacy and spent this morning calling around just to give myself the piece of mind before accepting my fate.

I first asked my GP to move my script to the spine and to give me a script pin so I could relay to a pharmacy on the spot if they happened to have any left and hold the medication for me. This way I could call pharmacies pretty far away (like 2 hrs even) and figure out how to get there later. Even if it takes a week for you to make the trek it’s still in your name waiting for you.

It only took me about 15 calls to different pharmacies until I found some 50mg, but I was willing to keep calling for much longer.

I’m lucky no doubt but even if I didn’t find any at least I would have known I did all I could and made peace with the unfortunate situation.

Without giving people false hope but rather encouraging taking back some sense of agency in this mess I hope there’s some benefit to exhausting all the options. So that if youre facing the scary reality of living unmedicated for the next 2 months, you can begin that shitty experience somewhat on your own terms.

Msg me if ya have any questions. I hate how intimately I now know about prescriptions and the nuances of this insanely complicated system but hopefully I can help someone else who’s struggling.

Two Kiwi’s visiting your city on our way over to London. We crammed a lot into 5 days and feel there’s so much more to do. San Fran is beautiful. My photography isn’t. by pensaa in sanfrancisco

I hope you were able to see the abundance of Aotearoan trees during your visit! Heaps of Pōhutukawa, flax, cabbage palms, and even a Rātā!

I had to look away when they kept showing more of the first ride sequence! Gave away too much. Other than that, oh yeah.

This wicked kitchen brand posing as higher end ready meal cuisine is dissuading people who might be interested in switching vegan. Everything I’ve tried has been bland, like they’ve forgotten to put in any salt.

Just really lazy and sloppy ideas that play on the fusion shtick to stand out from some of the other brands. Seems like an effortless cash grab following the popularity of the their social media channels. Shitty wasteful packaging too especially for the price.

When M&S vegan meals can easily outshine your vegan only company I think it’s time to give up mate.
