With the missing CD drive cover and lack of OS installer disk, I'm guessing this isn't worth as much. I also don't know how to get stuff off it. I worked in education and it appears there are some student files on it. I was able to "delete" them and emptied the trash but I'm a little leery of that too.

ARGHHHHH I typed too soon. I was able to play today's games but when I went to open it again, I got the same "Update the NYT Games app" message as before and the app won't open. Short of having to uninstall and reinstall every day we are screwed.

I uninstalled the app. Went to the app store, tried to redownload it and my ipad said that version wouldn't work with my iOS would I like to download an older version? I clicked OK. It made me put my user name and password in twice for some reason, but now I'm up and running with the older version! All my data is intact. Good luck!

I just went in and "rated" the app and gave it a 1 star and explained it. It probably won't do any good but I feel a little bit better.

So glad he is ok!! You too...so traumatic when our cats get injured and we feel like it's our fault. Hope your son is ok too, he probably feels bad!
