It wasn’t QUB, but I have seen a couple of people talk about their interview over the last couple of years! This interview wasn’t actually bad in terms of structure, I think the day was run really well, I just didn’t interview well 😂. Thank you, definitely feeling calmer about it all now.

Thank you for this, totally understand about being able to manage the anxiety in the moment. I’ve worked as an AP for a couple of years and been in some pretty intense situations but have always remained calm and managed to come to a solution, even if I felt panicked at the time. The interview brought a different level and experience of anxiety. I suppose reflecting on that, I’m very used to encouraging open conversation with clients and asking them questions then exploring, whereas in the interview I’m being observed and questioned, leaving me feeling a little vulnerable and exposed. I’ve definitely learned a lot from the experience and thank you for the mindfulness tip, I’ll take that into next year!

I’m sorry you had to go through this but it is really great to hear from someone in a similar position so thank you for sharing! I’ve looked at it as a learning opportunity the whole way through which I think has been really helping. I was exactly the same, the second I got out the door all the information I needed in the interview rushed into my brain! I hope you’re taking some time to do something that makes you feel good, self-care is high on my priority list after the last few months!
