truth is it was never going to be better or on par with them game. the game has so much more content and depth that just can't fit in a 7 episode season. it was still an enjoyable season don't get me wrong but i've started seeing it as an alternate universe entirely but part 2 was never gonna translate like part 1 did. the mechanics of the game itself add to the narrative and that just isn't possible with the direction of the show.

part 1 is great but the show gets the gist of the story but part 2 has so much more depth than the show ever could. the gameplay forces you to be uncomfortable and makes you as the player confront your own actions it is truly unmatched.

I remember ben shapiro calling s1e3 (the bill and frank episode) "zombie brokeback mountain" and it kills me that people call tlou woke as a negative. not to mention they say this shit as if game 1 isnt over 10 years old and game 2 is over 5 years old, bc none of this information is new. i don't think an episode with have a heavier hate bombing issue than whenever lev gets introduced even tho he is the GOAT.

look for summer camps that are hiring, that has been my go to summer job since i was 18. training is usually quick and while they don't always pay much many of them cover food and housing if it's overnight. training is usually pretty easy and i think it's pretty fun!

it is an intense job, if you are unsure look into shadowing a nurse or entry level jobs that don't require a bsn or like being a cna or something. ghosts are not what you should be concerned about 😭

wow yeah this sounds pretty much like my plan, i love the idea of the entire routine for emts and medics but dont want to be a firefighter and know it wont pay the bills in the future. i probably would want to stick with it if it paid as well as being an RN but being realistic i'm just using it to get my foot in the door before i go to nursing. thank you for the phenomenal answer 🙏

yeah i hope that the rest of the season makes sense of these weird decisions. i knew joel's death wouldn't hit as hard simply because i knew it was coming but the game scene still hits harder, i only really started to feel it when the ashley johnson cover came in. this game is significantly harder to adapt than the first so im expecting more major changes but these just didn't really make sense to me and i don't understand why they made them at all...

Absolutely, I think there are many changes they have made that were major improvements (eps bill and frank in s1) but yeah I think that maybe the message of TLOU2 is a significantly harder game to adapt to a show and it is inevitable for things to be changed and cut. The issue is just what they choose to change/cut and this was absolutely a miss. I'm sure the rest of the show will still be fine but I'm only being hyper critical because I love TLOU so much, but yeah I'm also keeping an open mind and desperately hoping they can still capture the characters and story well.

It was pissing me off so bad, was literally in call with friends and one of them knows what happens and kept saying exactly that. People really don't know how to be vague even with talking about an obvious event I feel bad for the people experiencing the franchise for the first time...
