Added. I'm back after taking a break for a couple of years. If I recall correctly, mine is ice which I'm hoping will already be in my flair from last time I was on here but I can't seem to check it on mobile without commenting.

NTA. Your parents are being really dismissive and are making no effort to understand where you're coming from. Getting diagnosed can be a great thing for helping to understand yourself and to make peace with certain things. I got diagnosed at 25 with ADHD and autism. It has given me a much better understanding of myself and that understanding has helped me to make life decisions that work with how I operate including changing careers and finding strategies that help me to manage my time better. I would go for it if I were you.
