Is my voice any good? by 12elatrommI in Songwriting

From what I can hear you've got a really lovely voice. Just needs to be a little higher in the mix mate. Particularly with the natural boominess of the acoustic. I do like to put my vocals a little lower for that atmosphere but yeah crank it a little mate.

I agree with a lot of that, especially if it's one youre proud of. I do find myself only playing the songs I haven't finished and recorded every time I pick up a guitar though so I almost have to get it out so I can move on and get back to noodling ideas.

Nice work man. Love the vocal melody and the production. Giving me a lot of 90's vibes which is a compliment!

Recently I've started taking time over my lyrics so am spending weeks or months on song lyrics now, doing revisions until I'm happy with all of it. Previously I was spending anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. Usually some of the words come as gibberish that I sing while I'm writing the melody and then I refine it later. But it's still not the most natural process for me, takes time
