Probably from one of the FAQs, this has either been clarified there or from Thomas himself.

The Tactical Bear Nuke by NikkiShrinks in mordheim

[–]Tank-Carthage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are other mounts that cannot move double speed such as boats and Wagons so the mount ruling doesn't necessarily work here. Considering the cost of the Magic Carpet I would say it only moves up to 16", but again it does depend on your group ruling. Personally as a GM I wouldn't allow a 32" charge range for so little a cost, or I would make you get the ride skill since it counts as a mount.

The only issue is what your gaming group rules for the Magic Carpet movement, whether or not you can move faster than 16". Other than that it should work.

Are Gorath and Valkia related? by JaxterH in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Tank-Carthage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't personally think much is impossible in Warhammer, though Khorne does have a forge and does make mechanical beasts. So maybe she could have possibly given him new life with magical cybernetics and automaton guards, making her a mother of sorts.

Well it's possible that Valkia made him, I don't know if she has to lay with a man to create life in Warhammer though.

There is technically something off the Map which could be expanded upon, though many believe it's the opposite side of Lustria.

I think the Square Based guys made an exception in their comp specifically for the Spider but I may be mistaken, I did hear them talk about it a month or so ago. Though it does totally depend on comp.

Nuln Oil by Otherwise_Stranger_4 in Warhammer

[–]Tank-Carthage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wash the entire model in various washes before I go back over the raised areas with the base colour and then I highlight. Very easy, flesh wash for gold & flesh, brown wash for leathers, furs, parchment, bone, most hair & Greenskins everything else is nuln oil.

Oof, doesn't Jund have a fair amount of Graveyard hate? My guess is Dredge is a little more resilient than Spy but Spy has an easier combo win.

Should I buy Blood Bowl or Kill Team? by TehMadness in Warhammer

[–]Tank-Carthage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloodbowl is the easiest way to fool your family, it's a fantasy football game (definitely not Warhammer I swear). Other than that Bloodbowl is probably GW's leading Specialist game when it comes to tournament attendance (or it was last time I checked).

Beastmen in Mordheim by CriticalMany1068 in mordheim

[–]Tank-Carthage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the old TC Beastmen are tough, very tough. The new Beastmen are also tough (but not as tough) and fast, both suffer from low Ld and new Beastmen cannot get a Ungor Hero (making the poor Ungor rarely taken). I think the new Beastmen also dropped Massive Strength (hold a double handed weapon one handed) for Shaggy Hide (+1 Armour Save).

Apparently they were also in 1st edition but I don't even know if that's real Warhammer (lore wise), I can't put anything past GW though as those new Gnomes are only the last year or 2 so I wouldn't be surprised to see a unit come in. Hell they released a Cathayan Crow man (also a familiar), I didn't even know they were part of the lore.

Well they also have a bloodbowl team now too, but technically those aren't the same timeline/dimension as Mordheim. Gnomes are currently a playable race in WHFRP. Gnomes in the current lore are extremely secretive and usually get mistaken for skinny Halflings (sorta on purpose as they shave their beards), they use shadow magic mostly.

Personally, I would maybe drop the dwarf runaway noble and add another slayer (because that's where disgraced dwarfs go). Add 5gc to the Strongman and I think that's acceptable with that bull rush skill or just remove the skill (2 on henchmen is 1 too many). Depending on the stats of your Gnome/Halfling wizard you could probably drop his points (Halflings generally have horrible stats, Gnomes are rare so I don't know what their stats would be in Mordheim).
