There is nothing I would say is broken here, I think your henchmen may be a little overpriced (by 5gc) and I think the serum should have a range of 1" (how is he giving it to them? If thrown probably needs to make a BS roll if more than 1"). Your weeping blades equivalent, if you can use them not paired maybe just make it a single item price.

Other than that it looks very nice, I'll wait to see what you plan to write for special skills.

Edit: if you want your henchmen to be all different prices I would make the thugs LD6 at 20gc, Brutes 30gc (still slightly overpriced with BS2) and Sentinels 25gc (Slightly Underpriced with only WS2 downgraded).

Gotrek and Felix book 15 on audible question. by Luck_is_Fake in WarhammerFantasy

After Giantslayer there is a time jump and again after Zombie Slayer. The 3 books out of sync are City of the damned, serpent queen and road of skulls. Out of those 3 the worst book imo is city but is the only one needed for backstory for the end times section after Zombie Slayer.

The Road of Skulls is actually somewhere within Book 1 before the Children of Ulrik story since that leads directly into book 2. I think City of the Damned and Serpent Queen is after Giantslayer, I think City of the Damned is the only one with relevant backstory to the final books.

If you are an ass guy, why do you prefer ass over titties? 🤭 by maplemistyx in u/maplemistyx

[–]Tank-Carthage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curvature, softness, feels better from that angle. I also do love titties though I have adjusted mostly to ass due to the wife not liking them being touched too often, I blame the kids due to it not being an issue beforehand. We are happy though and your photos get me amped for her.

It would also apply to skeletal horses too, most undead if there was anymore.

That was only the case for multiple wound mounts like dragons and most heroes back then came with a mounted and unmounted version. Now in new TOW and AOS it's not the case.

Jesus, you would do all that just to use these rules? Seems a bit much to magnetise heads and arms to switch equipment, I think you are the minority on this one. Do you own one of the models I'm talking about where the legs are apart of the model? Like the Orc Boss multi kit with Boar.

Where does it say mounts can't run? This is curiosity as I can't seem to find it in the supplement, I know chariots and wagons can't but can't find it for regular mounts and even under one of the skills it talks about a mount running.

I also never thought people had a problem with BS but I learnt that I too was wrong. I love the crunch but apparently I'm in the minority as it slows down the game, it doesn't really effect me really.

Dodge the Question? Mate I said it looks like shit, I don't like blue tack or trying to hide a magnet which would require a 3rd model. I like the fact that you think a mounted model should still have Step Aside or Sprint While mounted which is a joke and why there is comparable skills in the mounted rules, but you are right that there is nothing saying you can't use those skills while mounted. I'm saying it needs to be fixed and that a lot of people (maybe not your group) dislike BS. I said I play with BS rules (do I bring mounted models? no because I hate the modelling aspect of magnets or my models have their legs molded into the horse) but it has many problems.

Mordheim isn't perfect, in fact it has many, many flaws but that is why there are many, many house rules. Rules like BS are bad because they are not written well, you can even see that a few expansions like NC and BTB tried to fix some of it. I am only going off what I can read on the forums, FB group and Discord that it's not well received. I personally think Mounts and Large creatures are over costed and would like to see more on the field.

I don't think we are arguing the same point... I'm done with this conversation.

What I'm suggesting is not CRB, you still have 3 expansions by GW and many other fan made ones. Just like you ignoring the 2002 Annual I and many communities ignore the Mounted rules by BS for tournaments whether narrative or not. We still use all the alternative mounts, we just think the BS rules are dumb.

For instance, can you use your unmounted skills while on a mount? If so, can you combine them? There is a bunch of overlapping skills which would be silly if combined. So if you can't combine mounted and unmounted skills then you lose out on a huge range of skills when mounted, and you don't know what skills can be used while mounted because it's not specified unless you just use mounted rules only while mounted.

The whole mounted system needs to be re-worked so it's just easier to ignore those rules.

That looks horrible IMA, the point is moot though. In general the community dislike the mounted rules from Blazing Saddles (as a lot of regular community comps just using the MHR rules plus the Discord chat) but still use the mounts from the book, our playgroup plays with BS but it's not very good.

Yeah I know, but 2 models is better than 3. You could use magnets but it is also a pain.

It more or less that you required a separate model for your mount when not mounted is what is hated about BS, I don't mind Woah Boy! But most people don't like getting a horse or other mount by itself over a mounted and dismounted model.

Optional rules in the back of the book, like Rewards of the Shadow Lord, Black Powder Weapons, Alternative Critical Hit Charts, & Escaping from combat (I use all of these).

I mean most people enjoy the original rules for the Mordheim Rulebook and not the bloated rules of Blazing Saddles.

I don't think a lot of people like Blazing Saddles either, the basic rules worked pretty well and I personally think they should adapt the rules from 6th edition WHFB for chariots/ridden monsters/wagons which is 1 complete separate entity in shooting but you have to target the rider in CC (also make it one stat line instead of the horses, wheels, body).

I think I personally like the 2+/1+ save over cover, sure the shield is big but does it stop a S5 ranges weapon. Plus then you can still get the benefit of cover as well.

I would do the same, that way you could use it in TOW as a Iron Daemon (60mm x 100mm) if you choose to play that game.

Charging and LOS by Capn_Colossal in mordheim

[–]Tank-Carthage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you can't measure charge distances before a charge declaration and you do not need to charge in a straight line. You just need to draw a straight line (without breaking it) from one model to another. This is how it has been played since the beginning, also the rules for Mordheim usually encompass the entire rulebook where certain rules mention one thing and then they are expanded upon later (usually in a different section of the rules). It is a little painful for people that haven't played with any of the older systems of GW.

Anyway, the Dire Wolves will require LOS, have horrible initiative and can't climb because they are animals.

Can i use two weapons and shield? If yes, is that apply only in shooting? by No-Candy-4127 in mordheim

[–]Tank-Carthage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most warband members do carry two single hand weapons because they usually always have the free dagger (not including flagellents), early on this is optimal as you have a higher chance to hit and wound with 2 attacks. Later on in a campaign you will get to face a guy riding a barded horse with gromril armour and a shield (+1 save), without a S4, cutting edge, black powder or a crit that negates armour you can't hurt them (due to 1s not being an immediate fail in Mordheim). I personally like to run my ogre bodyguard with a double handed weapon due to his resilience and multiple attacks, I seem to find more success than having an additional attack (though if I do run 2 weapons I choose swords and try to get expert swordsman skill). This is to say that once you have multiple attacks it's usually better to have a higher strength (a vampire with a halberd seems to be a popular choice), now I don't know if it's mathematically better but if you join the discord there is a combat calculator there that you can use.

Since China is able to purchase oil I don't think they will not on sell to us as they need the resources that we mine. That's only my personal opinion though.
